Take my brother for example: he was about to get into medical school before I don't even know what happened, he actually somehow talked his way out of the psych ward he was put in, which is completely bullshit, because he has open eye visuals when he's sober, hears voices all the time, thinks god speaks to him, etc.


He works for Joe Biden, writes tons of papers that make perfect sense, it's possible to hold a very coherent conversation with him, as long as you're talking about something he likes.

Yes, however that does not make them insane. Insanity is a mental disorder, however I really don't think you need a mental disorder to do terrible things. What Varg did was obviously bad, however you have to take into account the various factors that made him do it. Sadly, we do not know if he was defending himself or not. For instance, look at what we did when we decided to drop two atomic bombs on innocent people, evaporating thousands in WW2, were they insane?
