It means that in my mind you don't love someone without hating them a little bit too. Like perfect love isn't what you see in movies where everything matches perfectly and nothing ever goes wrong. Real love has little veins of hate mixed in and sometimes people who love each other do malicious things to each other, but it's real love if that happens and doesn't deter it.

Basically perfection is based on imperfection existing.

Right, except it's also the only way (imo). I guess it just depends whether you value knowledge or guaranteed happiness more. Of course the upside is if you do actually love her, you're happier passing that final hurdle together.

Not exactly, though it's a high probability. I just think you can't know for certain without passing that sort of "test" if you will. It's possible you might never hurt one another and still be in love, you just wouldn't be able to know for sure I don't think. I think in most cases though it will happen at one point or another, and it will strengthen your bond or break it, in which case it was never real love anyways.
