what part of second level of sonic and knuckles can't you beat with tails? that's the flying battery zone, it's pretty straight forward i thought. the part most people get stuck at on the carnival level is the part where you have to go up and down on that red and white thing. what you do (idk if you're aware of this) is hold up when the red and white platforrm goes up and down on the way down and you will go further up and further down each time til you can escape out of the bottom on the way down.

i have been playing sonic 3 and knuckles excessively the past week. there are 9 ways to beat it cause there are 9 characters and you can beat it with no chaos emeralds, with all chaos emeralds or with all chaos emeralds and super emeralds.

so far i have beat it with:

sonic all chaos and super emeralds
tails all chaos and super emeralds
knuckles all chaos and super emeralds
sonic all chaos emeralds
knuckles all chaos emeralds

each one has a different ending. i'm working on beating it now with each character no chaos emeralds. i skipped beating it with all chaos emeralds with tails cause he doesn't get a transformation unless you have all chaos emeralds (as opposed to sonic and knuckles who have a super AND hyper transformation depending on which emeralds you have) and there's only eight save slots.

I meant the third level, the pyramid one. I always get to this one part where you have to like loop a few times with sonic or knuckles to get through, with tails you can just fly up.
