I'm listening to Manowar because I'm totally indifferent to everything Pantera related.

I'm listening to really talented musicians, in spite of him.

In spite of him why? Dimebag was in two shitty bands but he was still a decent guitarist. The anti-Dimebag thing is almost as offensive as the people who think he's some sort of God.

I've never really given it much of a listen beyond the (awesome) title track. It's a good enough album, but you can definitely tell this is when the self-parody took over. It's just not metal enough either. I don't listen to Manowar to hear "glory glory hallelujah, hush little baby please dont cry, know your daddy is born to die" or some italian opera. I want ol' fashioned harley-davidson rambo-riffic metal.

I'm finally getting The Absolute Power DVD so I'm prepping for a Manowar night.

Nice nice, and I agree totally with your opinion on [I]Warriors of the World[/I]. There's far too much "bubble-gum" on the album, in my opinion.

Had I given this a better listen sooner I totally would've expected Gods of War to be as terrible as it ended up.

I just cant' take all the synthy-build-ups and talk about Valhalla and whatnot.

I just want to drink some brews and enjoy Manowar, I shouldn't have to wait for it to happen. But the title track on this is just too good to ignore. It's up there with the title track off Battle Hymns IMO.

Man, I'm so disappointed. Just for fun, I set up a playlist of Electric Light Orchestra, Diablo Swing Orchestra and Mahavishnu Orchestra, and the font my Winamp skin uses lined all 3 band names up perfectly. But then I added Trans-Siberian Orchestra and the name juts out. :(
