EVOL kinda sucks.
Guided By Voices - Alien Lanes |
Pharoah Sanders - Karma
"The Creator Has a Master Plan" is one of the most beautiful songs ever. |
Pharoah Sanders - Karma
"The Creator Has a Master Plan" is one of the most beautiful songs ever.
It's too bad that "colors" sucks. |
I don't even bother counting that song. It's insignificant after the first one.
|
Gang Of Four - Entertainment!
The climax of 5.45 = |
The climax of 5.45 =
Hell fuckin' yes!. They played that when I saw them, it was incredible. Unwound - Repetition AIDS Wolf - The Lovvers |
Can - Tago Mago
I'm usually kind of scared to listen to this because it usually tests my patience. "Oh Yeah" is Cans best song and even though "Halleluwah" is essentially the same groove for 18 minutes it works to perfection. |
Did you get a boxset, download it, or? I have Odessey & Oracle and Begin Here but I need more.
A friend gave me Zombie Heaven, which is 4 discs, Greatest Hits, and Odessey & Oracle which I had but it got stolen. Speaking of Zombies, tonight on American Idol fat fro man and beatbox JT guy both sang Zombies songs. Blonde Redhead - 23 High Llamas - Gideon Gaye Whats up with all this 23 shit? First the movie, then some Blonde Redhead thats not as good as Misery is a Butterfly. Blah |
Still need to get 23.
Not really expecting anything even though the last two albums were really good. |
Pink Floyd - Animals
|
It's not too bad on first listen, really. I can't pinpoint what bothers me about it yet, but it's something. I'm sure it will grow on me, though. Maybe I'll upload it to the trading thread if I have time tomorrow.
|
It's all good, give it a few listens.
|
new Jesse Sykes is good. I like that bitch.
|
Aceyalone - Love & Hate
|
Jawbreaker - Dear You
Pretty much kicks ass. |
Pelican- The fire in our throats will beckon the thaw. Listening to it now and it seems really nice and relaxing in an intense way. As in they change their tempo a lot.
|
Joanna Newsom - Ys
It's good. |
Patti Smith - Horses
|
on spring break picked up a few albums, here are the one's I've been playing thus far.
Jan Jelinek - Kosmischer Pitch Fennesz - Plays 10" LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver I knew this record was going to be big. Terrific album - deserving of it's 9.2 |
yeah Sound of Silver dominates.
Low - Secret Name Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter - Like, Love, Lust and the Open Halls of the Soul |
Joanna Newsom - Ys
It's good.
horrible. |
Redman - Muddy Waters - Haven't listened to it much since I got it, this guy is jokes.
Klashnekoff - Lionheart: Tussle With The Beast - £3 on ebay, not bad considering it came out really recently. The beats are nowhere near as good as The Sagas Of, maybe it will grow on me after repeated listens. |
Bardo Pond - Ticket Crystals
this is a perfect album to get stoned and listen to. |
They Might Be Giants - Lincoln
Minutemen - What Makes a Man Start Fire? The Minutemen one is just as good as Double Nickles. |
Saves the Day - Stay What You Are
|
Bardo Pond - Ticket Crystals
this is a perfect album to get stoned and listen to.
I got that not so long ago. It's pretty good. |
Andy Stott - Merciless
David Sylvian - Blemish Check out this David Sylvian record - it's a loungey baritone conjoined with sparse electro-acoustics. Fantastic mood record. |
My school's library had a sale today, and I picked these up for $17 total:

|
Talking Heads - Remain in Light
Sun City Girls - The Handsome Stranger Which Talking Heads should I get next? |
Fear of Music
|
Eric B. & Rakim - Paid in Full
i didn't realize how much modern rap had raped this |
told u so
Six Organ of Admittance - School of the Flower |
Versus - Secret Swingers
wish the rest of the album was anywhere near as good as "Lose That Dress." Oh wow that is a good song. |
Pullhair Rubeye some more, mostly just the song "Sasong." I like the line: "I think I have a disease / that makes my hearing imperfect / but at least I'll make some wonderful noise." Rest of the album is kinda average. Panda Bear wins this round.
Also, Pet Sounds was making me happy earlier today. So that. |
LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver
It's funny that I've had this since it leaked but hadn't really properly listened to it until today. But it's good. |
The Kings Of Leon - the new album, I dont even know what it's called, but I downloaded it and it is one of the coolest, grooving album's I have heard in a long time.
|
Bob Dylan mostly.
New Morning, Nashville Skyline, John Wesley Harding, Biograph. That sorta stuff. And Of Montreal. |
!!!- Myth Takes. Its really nice, its dancey while still being indie. Its really really good.
