Creedence Clearwater 12-28-2004 07:57 PM
I have that Greatest Hits album. It's a pretty good selection, but it's missing Cortez the Killer.
It has "needle and the Damage done" so I guess I am happy.

Would anyone happen to have Super Session by Bloomfield-Kooper-Stills??

jpj 12-28-2004 08:02 PM

it's on Deep End Vol. 1, and I saw The Last Waltz at a used record store.

Yep. Al Kooper, Mike Bloomfield and Stephen Stills.

Stonefree 12-28-2004 08:22 PM

Anyone want Dead samples?

jpj 12-28-2004 09:48 PM

ME ME ME ME ME!

I want to send something. I feel bad receiving, but never giving :(

Badmoon 12-28-2004 09:54 PM

Great, I'm actually plenty happy just sending. Because then I may have found a new fan, and also found a new reason for discussion.

Let me just load some songs.
it's on Deep End Vol. 1, and I saw The Last Waltz at a used record store.
Maybe I could try sending it to you over AIM. Although i'm not sure if I can do that . That's very ilegal.

edit: wait, JPJ, do you have it? I can't keep track of who has what.

The Neil Young cocaine thing is awesome. It only makes me love him more.

Woodstock 12-28-2004 10:15 PM

Everyone go to the Doors-Strange Days review. Is it messed up for you?

jpj 12-28-2004 10:47 PM

I don't have The Last Waltz. I thought about buying it yesterday, but it was too expensive.

Seafroggys 12-29-2004 01:17 AM
Yep. Al Kooper, Mike Bloomfield and Stephen Stills.
Ah, I've always heard of this Al Kooper, but never anything by him. I keep on thinking of Alice Cooper.

Thanks, man :).

Hehe, Neil Young looks coked up on The Last Waltz :p. Yay to whoever posted that link before.

Badmoon 12-29-2004 12:57 PM

Has anyone noticed that John Bell's voice (Widespread Panic) is like a more talented Neil Young? No offense to Livewired or Young, but you two may agree he isn't that spectacular in the vocal department.

JPJ, how's Blues for Allah?

ATTENTION: I will send out Grateful Dead albums whenever anyone wants.

BludgeonySteve 12-29-2004 01:29 PM

Yes, we've noticed that a lot of people are better singers than Neil Young. Livewired and I are beyond fanboyness. ;)

or atleast thats what I tell people. :(

Badmoon 12-29-2004 01:30 PM

No, but this guy sounds very similar.

BludgeonySteve 12-29-2004 01:34 PM

Hmm, he has the same kind of quality to it. It's a little more powerful than Neil's.

Simple Man 12-29-2004 01:34 PM

I think your rock not roll name is unbanned cause this name was and we got banned together I think.

BludgeonySteve 12-29-2004 01:37 PM

I just checked, it isn't :(.

Hehe, now that I listened to some songs (because I haden't in a while). The guy from WideSpread panic is like Neil Young. A more powerful, less girly sounding version :thumb:

Stonefree 12-29-2004 02:03 PM

I haven't heard Widespread Panic.

/goes to nugs

I think Danny Whitten's voice is super awesome but not that skillful. It just sounds awesome.

I loved it, it was really odd. One part of the last song sounded like it came straight out of a cheesy 80's horror movie, not that that's a bad thing.
