It's not as good. A little bit bland and certainly not as thrashy. It's grown on me over time, but I don't like it nearly as much as Altars, and probably not as much as Covenant.

It's the last worthwhile MA album.

Too bad the Decide album sucks.

Anyway, Altars, Blessed, and Abominations are the only Morbid Angel stuff worth hearing. The old demos and live stuff are worth tracking down too.

Blessed is decent but the production's kind of hollow sounding; less thrashy than Altars but could be heavier too.

Covenant is definitely worth listening to. The only thing I don't like is the flanger effect on the guitars in most the songs.

Covenant has some quality material on it but as a whole it's not very good

covenant is different to blessed and earlier material. it doesn't feel as much of an album as such rather than a collection of songs, better produced, more 'standard' death metal. it's still good, but doesn't beat earlier stuff

morbid angel's pretty much just monotonous

It's the same humor. It's parody, it's making fun of the british dramatic "documentaries" like Panorama. It doesn't preach anything, that footage isn't real. Saying that's offensive is like saying the south park writers don't care about child murder because kenny keeps getting killed.
