The Who End Gig During First Song

The Who stopped proceedings during the first song of a gig at the Tampa amphitheatre in Florida last night (March 13).

Frontman Roger Daltrey sauntered off stage without any explanation in front of the sell-out 9,000 strong audience. After a few minutes, legendary guitarist Pete Townshend told the crowd that Daltrey was suffering from bronchitis and would be unable to carry on.

He said: "I just talked to Roger and he can barely speak. I tried to get him to come out here, but he’s really, really sick."

Townshend, however, told the crowd that the band have rescheduled the show for March 25.

Jaded 03-15-2007 12:28 AM

So, guess who's making a guest appearance on my band's cd?

Jody LeCompte 03-15-2007 12:28 AM

Im watching this show on Style network about a couple thats extremely in debt like...1500 dollars of credit card interest a month with $150 dollar payments..

It makes me thankful that I not only took so many finance and accounting classes in school that I also have good credit already.

funkyhoney 03-15-2007 12:31 AM

every second week there some nub on TV bitching about how they racked up an exorbitant amount of debt on credit cards/mobile phone/useless **** and looking for free handouts because they dumb as dog ****.

it annoys me.

I make around 800 a week working a little more than full time at my job. I ended up getting a credit card just so I could use it to buy things and build up credit. It's awesome.

Jody LeCompte 03-15-2007 12:35 AM

My credit isn't really as good as it could be because the card is only under a minor account under my dad, however, anything I buy in person I charge it(after saving all the money) and pay it off in 2-3 months.

I do ring up a tiny bit of interest obviously, but its worth it.

JoeDaddio 03-15-2007 12:40 AM

You guys are tlaking about credit ..... Seriously?

I only like it on bass with distortion, imo it gets muddy with clean bass through it.
