Yes thank you.

Flagjacket 11-20-2006 04:39 PM

I just feel that maybe he's just a really poor speaker. I mess up talking all the time, switching letters and words around.

lynch_me 11-20-2006 04:58 PM

Is this band still around?

Flagjacket 11-20-2006 05:07 PM

No George W Bush and the Cabinet broke up.

DaveToopes 11-20-2006 06:38 PM

Making fun of GW's grammar is stupid. I'm with Kav on this one guys.
I just feel that maybe he's just a really poor speaker. I mess up talking all the time, switching letters and words around.
I feel that you can be a poor leader and a poor public speaker. They don't tie in together, but at the same time it's not like it's one or the other no matter what.

AIRIC 11-20-2006 06:56 PM

We're not making fun of his grammer. We're just saying it's really bad and that reflects on him as a leader.

DaveToopes 11-20-2006 06:58 PM

I see no correlation. The guy went to Harvard or Yale or some sh!t he has to be smart he just can't talk right!

AIRIC 11-20-2006 07:02 PM

He went to Yale but also take into consideration that his father was a rich politician who was running for Senator at the time and also went to Yale.

asdf 11-20-2006 07:03 PM

When being a political public figure (I say political because this doesn't really apply to, say, sports figures) it really helps to be able to adress the public in a clear, concise way.

That being said, it doesn't completely reflect his presidency. I'm sure many of you disagree with what Ronald Reagan did (if you were even alive then, which, I myself was not), and yet he's considered one of the greatest speakers of our time. Just because he is clear and concise and really knew how to talk to the people, did not mean he was a good president.

So yeah, I don't really rag on the president, speech or otherwise, very often either.

Did any of you see that clip of President Bush playing a xylophone-esque instrument when he went to Viet Nam recently? Man, he did a pretty damn good job.

I say we focus on the musical talents of our Politicians, and the political message of our musicians.

AIRIC 11-20-2006 07:09 PM
i have vida vis if you want it on slsk.
I would love it, but slsk doesn't work on my shitty computer.
No. I really wish it did though. Easily in my top 5.
Yeah, that song is so awesome. Just recently got Tom Gabel live at C.O.R.E.
Do you know why We did it All For Don ends in the studio version?

AIRIC 11-21-2006 07:29 PM

Probably just because the recording was bad or something and they wanted to finish the song.

tappenzee 11-21-2006 08:47 PM

Okay, I may take some **** for this, but I've been listening to Searching For A Former Clarity a lot more recently, and I've come to the conclusion that it's better than Reinventing Axl Rose.

It's just a better collection of songs, takes more chances, it's better produced, and it's got "How Low" on it, which has become my drinking song :chug:

Don't get me wrong, I love RAR. The **** hit me like a cannon the first time I heard it, but it hasn't aged as well as SFAFC to me.

I'm actually really looking forward to this major label debut. I hope they keep pushing the boundaries. When's that sh*t coming out?

AIRIC 11-21-2006 08:58 PM

I think early '07.

I'm not gonna give you **** for that but I just don't see how someone could think that. But whatever man I'm looking forward to the new album too :thumb:

DaveToopes 11-22-2006 12:06 AM

I have to respect you for saying something so ludicrous tappenzee!

nitzguy 11-22-2006 10:27 AM

have you guys seen the little skit on AM!'s myspace thingy where they do a little waynes worlds joke? it's funny

Henrik 11-22-2006 10:52 AM

I still don't get the joke.

I really hoped that they would have answered honest instead.

Twin Human Highway Flares 11-22-2006 11:45 AM

Where would one get Live at CORE? I found it on Last.fm but I want to download it...

Flagjacket 11-22-2006 11:50 AM
I still don't get the joke.
Okay, the the movie Wayne's World, two people have a small local access late ngiht rock show that they film and produce in their basement. A large cable company offers to buy it from them, but only if they change a bunch of the features to a more palatable mass media format. THen they proceed to tell the guy that They won't sell out and stuff. Against Me! used the lines from that scene, and the exact same products and camera angles and poses and basically re filmed that entire scene in their backyard. It's a reference to that scene. Do you get it now?

DaveToopes 11-22-2006 12:01 PM

No I'm still not sure I understand, Flagjacket.

Twin Human Highway Flares 11-23-2006 09:52 PM
Give me your e-mail.
theonlymistake AT gmail DOT com

And if you go to albumbase.com and register, you can find Vivida Vis. That's where I got it.

AndreTheHyena 11-24-2006 01:51 AM

Why do people always write their email addresses out like that on forums and myspaces and such? Does it deter bots or something similar?

Brain Toad 11-24-2006 02:41 AM
Why do people always write their email addresses out like that on forums and myspaces and such? Does it deter bots or something similar?
Keeps it from being collected by bots and being easily clickable by spammers. Plus it looks cool.

About the dude who said SFFAC is better than RAR. Somedays I agree, somedays I don't. Depends what type of music I'm in the mood for.

TakeWarning 11-24-2006 11:38 AM

No matter what type of music I'm in for, it's RAR. Some of the songs on SFAFC are just so remarkably mediocre.

Nick I hear the only type of music you listen to anymore is Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

DaveToopes 11-25-2006 12:40 AM

That is a videogame, not music.

Don't front, Kav. You're a murderer after all.

Flagjacket 11-25-2006 12:47 AM

We went over the plan several times using Vice City multiplayer as a simulator.

AndreTheHyena 11-25-2006 06:11 AM

Sun Kil Moon is so ****in' good.
What the **** was that supposed to be? An insult?
No I jsut heard that all you do now is play GTA and not even listen to music. Someone who visits PJ regularly told me.

DaveToopes 11-25-2006 02:27 PM

Don't judge Nack, Kaven.
