Yeah
Fire+Ice - Birdking is pretty amazing too |
Doobstap recondashins
Yo diggles my homedog posted dis dubstep **** on facebook:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1acPYhOpUoU And I quite dig it... considering the only dubstep I'd heard before was that Burial album tbh I thought it sucked well it didn't suck but it just wasn't for me. So guys, recommend me some dubstep with like the coolest beats and the biggest wobbliest bass possible. Also, moderator Wish, please don't post a list of 5,000 artists. I just want a few recommendations to start me off. |

That Silkie album is so goooood
|
Thank you do all of those have extreme wobble?
Pulshar doesn't have any wobbling. They sound a bit like Burial. Silkie has mad wobbles. |
Alright I'm looking forward to Silkie then. I'll get the rest too though
|
If you are into wobbles check Rusko - Babylon Volume 1. I don't like him a lot but maybe you'll like.
|

Well idk I like the wobbles I guess but I'd never heard dubstep until today so idk. I'll probably get sick of wobbles to some extent. But I'll check it |
k **** it what are like the most essential neofolk albums?
Darkwood: Notwendfeuer In Gowan Ring: Hazel Steps through a weathered home (some people will argue that IGR aren't "traditional neo-folk" but who cares) Andrew King: The bitter harvest Colt of Youth: A Stick to Bind, A Seed to Grow Die Weisse Rose: A martyrium of white roses Espers: Espers Forseti: Windzeit Leger Des Heils: Memoria Jännerwein: Abendläuten Les Joyaux De La Princesse: Absinthe Taetra Nebelung: Vigil Of the wand and the moon: Sonnenheim Pamela Wyn Shannon: Courting Autumn Sol Invictus: Sol Veritas Lux Sonne Hagal: Helfahrt Strength through joy: The force of truth and lies Sturmpercht: Stürm Ins Leben Wild Hinein! If you want some controversial stuff: Frank Rennicke: Deutsche Freiheitslieder 1848. He's a bit of a hard-line nationalist that spent 17 months in jail for some controversial lyrics. The album recounts the German revolution. Regardless of his views, he makes some pretty good folk/acoustic music. |
cool, i'll try to give all these a shot
|
So I feel like I should get into Bolt Thrower. Where should I start?
|
Anywhere would be fine, my fav is Those Once Loyal.
|
Will check that one out.
Thanks man. |
I think Realm of Chaos is a solid introduction, it's full of riff.
|
realm of chaos, war master, the ivth crusade, for victory, and those once loyal are all DM of the highest caliber
|
realm of chaos and those once loyal

Meh, going through the slump
I have a billion bands in my collection, and I like all genres, but I'm hoping for some "hard ****" (i refuse to try to specify a genre because that leads to a pissing match). Anyway, stuff like:
Dance Gavin Dance Devil Wears Prada Norma Jean BlessTheFall Brand New (Daisy) I'm a fan of non-super-cliche lyrics, clean vocals followed by screams/growls, and quick changes in the music (la la la BAM!). I hate coming to this board because I usually just get flamed for those bands, but meh, maybe somebody just listens to music for enjoyment. |
