crossface 05-29-2005 06:17 AM

yes its borland, im a fan of him i like his stuff, not a big bizkit fan, but i dont hate them. i dont the new album yet, i have listened to a few tracks, i think their okay.

stoned_rat 05-29-2005 06:20 AM

other than limp bizkit.....what of borland is there to like?...is he in any other bands?...did he go to another band when he left bizkit, or is he also solo......fill me in! what have i missed????

James Howlett 05-29-2005 06:36 AM

You should try the BigDumbFace. Its a solo project by Borland. Its kinda a mix between metal and folk with lots of weird singing. The album is called Duke lion fights the terror.

StandingStill 05-29-2005 06:44 AM

I'd give Big Dumb Face a miss if I was you.

He left Bizkit to form Eat the Day, but they didn't officially release anything. Though there are probably Mp3s of some of that stuff around somewhere.
He also was in Big Dumb Face, as already stated. The album is good, though most likely nothing you would expect.

Nate22 05-29-2005 09:58 AM

Could somebody reccomend me some newer metal bands that are similar to Shadows Fall? Preferrably not death metal though.

MAthiAS 05-29-2005 11:13 AM

Lamb of God.

MegaMustaine 05-29-2005 01:49 PM

Ive narrowed my search down to Peace Sells.....But Who's Buying. Now I want to know, if you think I should get Peace Sells, or Slayer's Reign in Blood. Im kind of leaning towards Peace Sells, because I don't have any Slayer cd's

munky_magik 05-29-2005 01:54 PM

I would go with Peace Sells. I think the album has more depth, and is just generally better.

MAthiAS 05-29-2005 02:23 PM

Get Peace Sells first, but get them both eventually.

flamesofbodom 05-29-2005 02:49 PM

I still dont have Reign In Blood. What Slayer cd has Captor of Sin?

munky_magik 05-29-2005 02:55 PM

The Haunting the Chapel EP.

The Goth 05-29-2005 03:44 PM

Whats the best marilyn manson album ?

the2stranger 05-29-2005 04:09 PM

antichrist superstar

Chu 05-30-2005 12:17 PM

Many people here know Kyuss? (I think I got the spelling right?)
Alot of people on these forums talk about them, but I have a few questions:

1. What 'style' music do they play? And
2. What is their best song? By best I mean, the song that defines the band the most.

James Howlett 05-30-2005 12:34 PM

Kyuss style is called 'stoner' or stonermetal. It's defined by downtuned guitars played sometimes over bassamps.

Best song. I like 50 million year trip and greenmachine alot. Try the Welcome to Skyvally or Blues from the red sun albums, they are Kyuss best work I think.

Chu 05-30-2005 12:45 PM

Thank you :)

However, I still don't understand what stonermetal is. :p

munky_magik 05-30-2005 12:48 PM

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stoner_rock is the best definition, I think.

Chu 05-30-2005 12:48 PM

Thanks for that aswell!
So fast :D

3rdplanet 05-30-2005 02:49 PM
Out of bordem, and a sense of obligation, I listened to Meshuggah's 'I' earlier and really enjoyed it.

What is their best album asides from this EP thingy?
Anyone?
