German is the coolest language my school offers.
Even though I'm american, I plan to start a black metal band that has it's lyrics in German. That would be so cool. I started getting the idea for it the other day thanx to your Dimmu thread and the Dark Throne thread.:thumb:

Hahaha, that's cool. I was thinking the same thing - do a black metal band with lyrics in a foreign language.

Lord Abortion 12-07-2005 03:53 PM

Yeah and If for whatever reason I don't want to do english, I have a very good friend that is fluent in Russian.

Cool Russian Black metal.:thumb:

edit: oops I meant that instead of german I could get my friend to do russian

Shadows 12-07-2005 03:58 PM

^^ I have also have a Hungarian foreign exchange student at my school.

Hungarian black metal.
"Baxter, you know I don't speak Spanish!"
Hahaha, that movie amuses me greatly.

lightningmetal666 12-07-2005 04:04 PM

Just for fun I'd love to see any type of band do a song where the lyrics are in american sign language. Can you imagine someone trying to sign death metal lyrics?

Shadows 12-07-2005 04:05 PM

They'd definitely need to turn the mic waaaaaaaaaay up, and with plenty of bass for the growling sensation.

The song Du Hast by Ramstein.

NP Something Wicked Trilogy

Sorry, late, it took 5 minutes to post.

TojesDolan 12-07-2005 04:51 PM

It makes sense in German.

Joe 12-07-2005 04:54 PM

Ah ok, Well I can't stand Rammstein.

NP: Eric Clapton - Crossroads

They have really simple riffs, yet they sound really harsh.

Must be the german accent.

I can't either.

Guys, I need your help. I have an assignment due tomorrow on the movie October Sky. If anyone could tell me the names of any of the characters (I mostly need the main character), I'd love you. It's the one about the coal miner's kid building rockets.

Bartender 12-07-2005 05:12 PM

I saw that film, on a plane. It was alright. I think the main guy's name was Homer.

Of course you could always use the IMDB.

Stormrider 12-07-2005 05:34 PM

I saw that movie at school in grade 6. We saw close to 7 movies that year.

We saw the movie called 2001: A Space Odyssey..Anyone else this movie ?
It was weird...

NP Iced Earth - 1776...again.

Thanks! I didn't know of that site. I didn't like the movie that much either. All those inspirational movies have the same plot.

Shadows 12-07-2005 05:52 PM

That's a good movie, though very depressing in parts.

Bartender 12-07-2005 05:57 PM

I can't really remember any of it.

Luckily I know many other good movies, so I don't care much.

MBS 12-07-2005 06:03 PM

I didn't like October Sky. We had to see that movie and Rudy, and compare and contrast them in a 5 paragraph essay. Rudy's a hobbit. :)

Shadows 12-07-2005 06:06 PM

I've never seen Rudy. I'm pretty oblivious when it comes to movies anyway.

I watched Rudy in my Bio class when we had some free time...

I think those two movies are pretty much exactly alike. Both from a small town, have a great dream, have unsupportive fathers, have great role models, have girls they meet on their journey, etc. I actually just did a report on Rudy so I noticed these things.

lightningmetal666 12-07-2005 07:56 PM

Oh god, I haven't had to do a report on these in so long. Rudy is pretty cool even if it's a little cliche. I can relate because in my freshman year before I really got into music and metal, I was a football player who had to ride the bench the whole season even though I was harder working than anybody there. (Never missed a single Practice or Game the whole season!!!)

I think october sky was the one where those kids had to build rockets right?

Talk to you guys tomorrow. I've gotta catch the bus.

Indeed it is.

Those are all the things I wrote about in my essay, too.

Dr. Jake Destructo 12-07-2005 08:55 PM

We watch lame movies at school. We did get to watch a scene from Pearl Harbor today, though. It was pretty entertaining.

NP: Porcupine Tree - Shesmovedon [Lightbulb Sun version]

Toaster 12-07-2005 08:59 PM

Actually I just watched Pearl Harbour in history class. It's a bit boring, but I have to admit some parts moved me.
