Yeah, I already had it on VHS, but I wanted all the extra features. I got it for $11 at this used CD/DVD/book store.
Concert. Post above is brilliant point.

First post in the Floyd thread...w00t!

Go Floyd.

I only have 2 cd's(Dark Side Of The Moon, A Momentry Lapse Of Reason) but I really love Floyd and would love to get some more. The cd shops in this small town are pretty under stocked in the ways of good music(mostly have rap/hip hop) so I have no way to get my hands on some. UNLESS...someone wants to YSI/Megaupload me some...

Pretty please?
Sorry to sound like a begger btw.
All right, I had posted like 3 albums by floyd for you, but in the interest of not getting my ass banned, you need to give me your email address so I can just mail them to you rather than post them on the forum, which is prohibited. Hurry up, these links are only good for 7 days and I'm not going to UL them again.

Lunch 04-23-2006 11:45 AM

Uh, illegal? Maybe?

Danger Bird 04-23-2006 11:50 AM
Uh, illegal? Maybe?
Come on, I'm trying to do something nice.

If he posts his e-mail, I'll take that down.
Come on, I'm trying to do something nice.
Hey man I don't care, if I had my way we could all post uploaded material like we used to do. I'm just giving a heads up since the rules about uploading are very serious and I want to respect that.

Danger Bird 04-23-2006 11:53 AM

All right, just let me try to get his e-mail address and that will be gone.

Danger Bird 04-23-2006 01:29 PM

Is this acceptable? I know people post links to dead bootlegs and whatnot all the time.

standard 04-23-2006 01:29 PM

No, just go buy it.

Danger Bird 04-23-2006 01:33 PM

Really? That's against the rules?

MidnightRider 04-23-2006 01:47 PM
I know people post links to dead bootlegs and whatnot all the time.
Well, that's legal because bootlegs aren't copyrighted.

Danger Bird 04-23-2006 01:59 PM

Fine, I'll wait for his e-mail address.

Riva 04-23-2006 05:19 PM

Bootlegs are legal. Uploading entire albums isn't.

So my cousin got a text message saying that Roger Waters was playing a couple shows in Boston and he got to buy tickets early because of the kind of credit card he has. So long story short I'm going to see Roger Waters on Sept 2nd. He says hes going to play all of Dark Side of the Moon.

Leper 04-23-2006 11:27 PM
It sounds no different while your drunk, but I've never been stoned so I wouldnt know what it's like then...But isnt that what trance musics for? getting high on weed then blissin'?
Being drunk usually ruins music for me because I can't really focus on anything.

That's awesome. I'd prefer Gilmour over Waters personally, but neither are coming here so I'd be incredibly happy with either.

Danger Bird 04-24-2006 09:39 PM

Damn it, Mitch2oo6, post your e-mail, I'm not uploading all those songs again.

Riva 04-25-2006 12:19 AM

Hey, Dark Side Of The Moon performed by half of Pink Floyd is good enough for me.

(Rick is touring with Roger, isn't he?)

Dragon_Prince 04-25-2006 01:56 AM

No, Nick was maybe and at one place Nick, Rick and Roger are performing

Riva 04-25-2006 02:12 AM

Oh. Well, that'd be the place to be, then.

magicbus 04-25-2006 08:56 AM

My friend was telling me that his brother heard the radio say that Pink Floyd was going on tour, and he was getting excited that it was the entire band. But the date they said was the same day Waters is coming by us, so maybe he heard wrong. Either way, he is going to play the entire DSOTM, plus a bunch of other stuff, and there's supposed to be a pretty elaborate stage show too. Hopefully I can make it.

Hamilcar 04-25-2006 12:16 PM

No, Pink Floyd is not touring together as a whole. Nick and Roger are performing together for one show during the summer. Roger also sent out an invitation to Rick to tour with him, but the offer was turned down because Rick wants to focus on making his solo record after David's tour.

You can read about how Roger invited Rick by going here...

And the part where they said he refused is on the main news page.

Already saw Gilmour earlier this month. I figure since I've seen Gilmour and Rick together, and I will be seeing Waters and Nick together, with a little mental image splicing Pink Floyd will be back together :thumb:

I love Rick solo.

Also, I imagine that Rick might still hold a grudge against Roger for kicking him out.

Hehe.

So wait.... what is this "Darkside of the Moon" tour, is it his play or what I don't wanna buy tickets for the Toronto show and it end up not being a Roger Waters concert.

So in short is it a full concert with Roger Waters?

Riva 04-26-2006 06:55 PM

From what I've seen it's a full Roger Waters concert.

Either that, or you've got a Pink Floyd tribute act coming to Toronto.

All the information I got about it says he will be playing Dark Side of the Moon. He may do more but thats all the information that was given.

I'd hit that.

Seriously, good cover bands FTW. Floydian Slip is the only one I've seen, but they rocked, and I've heard The Machine and Blue Floyd are also ace.

Ya there's some really good cover bands out there I saw one called "Comfortably Numb" it was really good besides the fact the singer sounds like Wierd Al.

Yeah The Machine are great. They do a lot of songs you wouldn't expect.

standard 04-27-2006 01:21 PM

I've seen The Australian Pink Floyd twice.. Amazing. My uncle, who was fortunate enough to see Floyd when they were touring for DSoTM, said that they were damn close to the real Floyd.. Was a good show.

Riva 04-27-2006 05:15 PM

There's quite a few famous Pink Floyd cover bands, isn't there...

I know of:

Beyond The Darkside (seen em)
Australian Pink Floyd (seen em)
The Pink Floyd Experience
The Machine
Blue Floyd
Floydian Slip
