Midwest tour dates would be awesome. If they play anywhere in Michigan I'm there. Well... maybe not in the upper penninsula...

DaveToopes 03-06-2006 08:57 PM

My friend and I said that if they play anywhere in Ohio, we had to be there.

Michiganders!

And I got my SLM hoodie today. It's pretty sweet. A bit big, but sweet.

Buzzbomb 03-06-2006 09:17 PM

According to the Victory website, Keasby Nights comes out tomorrow.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 03-06-2006 09:18 PM

I think I'll probably go buy it.

To support the band.

POINTLESS5448 03-07-2006 10:26 AM

i like the original keasby nights better. the new one is pretty much the same mabye a little bit better quality but its just not the same as the old one.

DaveToopes 03-07-2006 03:07 PM

As little sense as that made, I understand.

tappenzee 03-07-2006 03:58 PM

Raw energy vs masterful sound

I understand the trade-off

Brain Toad 03-07-2006 04:06 PM

Neither do I, and I won't be buying this one either, I see no reason to, not something I really want on CD.

mostlydeadonarrival 03-07-2006 10:48 PM

Wow its been about 5 months since I've been on Mx.

I got the album eariler today after volleyball pratice about 5:30. I have since listened to it almost 3 times straight through. I share some of the critism/opinons you guys have but mainly mine is smaller.

1.Ok the horns do kinda sound a bit on the Midi side at first but I got over that quickly

2. Horn players-so much better, crisper etc. I am a trombone player and personally believe the horn players are at their peak.

2a. Solos-the horn solos are incredible at times and at others just ok. I now like Walking Away because of the solos SLM

In short I love this album. It is justified simply by the concept of hearing them do 1234 1234 live

Dude3 03-08-2006 03:05 PM

Okay, can someone do me a big favor?

In short: Can someone please send me Streetlight Manifesto's "Everything Goes Numb" (the album)? My e-mail is Crazynessdude3@aol.com

I don't own the album, but tis on my OTHER computer, that happens to be broken. And on Saturday, me and some friends are going to the State Theater to see Motion City Soundtrack(it was a birthday present for my friend, I'm just going to hang with friends), and on the way there, I need a cd to listen to.

And with my other friend who's coming with me, we're used to going to the State Theater for ska concerts, and this will be our first ska-less show there. So in memory of our favorite show ever there, and out of any concert we've ever been to, I wanna listen to the whole Streetlight album.

Soooo, anybody wanna hook me up?

Pre-thanks =).

DaveToopes 03-08-2006 03:08 PM

I got you covered. Is YouSendIt okay?

Dude3 03-08-2006 03:15 PM

DaveToopes 03-08-2006 03:16 PM

It's finished, tell me if that worked.

Nah, it didn't work. It said the file was corrupted or something.

I'm not sure what to do. I guess tyr resending it, or if anybody else wants to do it, go for it, hah.

DuckinFutch8 03-08-2006 07:13 PM

I so hope they come to Indiana, Or Lousville...

'Cept no one else around here know's about them, I'd be hard pressed to find someone to go with...

All my friends like Classic Rock, which is obviously still awesome, but they need to get into Ska.

Problem is the local bands are all ****ty Ska-Core emo/screamo bands...

Most third wave ska is ****ty.

Catchthe22 03-09-2006 05:55 AM

Catch 22 is coming out with a new CD this summer(late June) and im pretty pumped. It's called Permanent Revolution. Kevin(the trumpet/vox) said that this album is going to be more punk style(maybe more like Alone In A Crowd). Some bash them after Tomas left but i still think they are great. There last cd wasnt the best but it had a handful of good songs in my opinion. And if Lament and some of the songs are to be a sign of whats to come, i have a good feeling of this one. I see C22 compared to Pink Floyd; Syd Barrett(guitar/songwriter/vox) started it off for Pink Floyd and wrote the first album and first 2 hit singles and after he left the band the music changed quite dramatic. It just happens. Pink Floyd ended up writing all there well known stuff after that.
