I'm getting a new megadeth album tommorow, so out of KIB, SFSGSW, and PSBWB, which do yall think I just get?
|
My vote is Peace Sells, but all of them are good.
|
I'd say SFSGSW. I enjoy it more than Peace Sells

Killing Is My Business first, then SFSGSW or PSBWB in any order you wish. |
Hmm... Well if I can scrounge up enough money I'll just get all three of them.

Good idea. They're all good. I recommend the re-mastered Peace Sells, but some people like the original better. |
I say KIMB, then SFSGSW, then PS.
|
I haven't been listening to megadeth for that long, mostly metallica. I noticed that deth's stuff is a hell of a lot harder to play.
|
Yeah, it's a lot more complex. I was reading an interview with Dave that said when he was playing with Metallica his overall style was simple and when he started Megadeth he changed that.

Yeah, its definitly much more complex. Dave's style definitly changed a lot. Watch Cliff 'Em All, and watch Dave on Whiplash. He is drunk off his ass or something, and misses all kinds of notes. He made a change for the better when he started Megadeth. |
Yeah. Deth's stuff is pretty ****ing hard. annoys the living **** out of me, as I fail to play prety much any song from their thrash era (My speed sucks donkey-dick)

I hear you man. RIP especially; they'res not one song I can play through on that album. Well, dawn patrol, but that doesn't really count. |
that song is amazing ...the bass is incredible as are the vocals
|

Hehehe... It is a cool song though |
Yeah definatly. That whole album is awesome.
|
Well I can sing sweating bullets
lol |
Rust In Peace is technical on every level, Thats what makes it a great album IMO
|
Agreed, that and Martys solos make that a brilliant album.
Yes, the solo on Tornado of Souls is one of my all time favorite solos. |
IMO, Five Magics is the sprinkel on the Ice Cream. The whole wierd-*** rhytms and texture changes makes it jut abit more awesome than the rest of the album :)
RIP is also one of those very few albums for me where every song is enjoyable |
yeah and kicked hetfield's dog...
it was hetfield who kicked daves dog |
On RIP I can play Take No Prisoners the whole way through, and Holy Wars I can do everything except Marty's clean solo, though I kind of cheat in parts of Dave's solo. Dave plays some things so weird, its really hard to play them the way he does. Working on Hangar 18 now, Marty's one sick bastard.
Five Magics is amazing too. Poison was the Cure is probably the weakest song on the album. Lucretia is awesome, you can really hear the Zeppelin influence in the riffs. |

Yup, its a bit too bluesy and happy sounding. Still, it grows on you :) |
does any1 here hate metallica cos of what they done to Dave?
i used to but then i was watching some kind of monster the other day and got a bit of respect for them (lost some from the short clip they used with Dave cos it was to makes daves little danish friend look good) |

I have trouble with Marty's solos because I suck at sweep picking. :(
does any1 here hate metallica cos of what they done to Dave?
No, I don't care about the lives of the bands I listen to and how they are. I just enjoy the music. |
i was jsut wondering cos i used to hate them cos of the whole dave thing and stealing a few of his songs but now becos i told my mate JP i like them and have respect for them hes cracking up and saying what happened about u hating them going back on what your saying hes kidna odd

But Megadeth are so much better, musically for me. SKOM kinda opened my eyes up to what Daves been feeling most of his life. I think everything he has done is a success... i better stop here otherwise im just going to not make sence and go on forever :p |
Rust in Peace is in my top 3 albums of all time. Tornado of Souls and Hanger 18 are my favorite tracks. Got to love those solos.
|
