some pre-Dear but i mostly have Dear You tracks.
I always revisit Dear You more than anything else they recorded. It's a shame that there was never a proper album to follow it up (just live stuff and b-sides), although I guess Jets to Brazil really picked up where Jawbreaker left off.

Mirah - Advisory Committee

So good. "Cold Cold Water" is such an epically heartbreaking opener.

Guided By Voices - Human Amusements at Hourly Rates

Except for the few consistent albums, this is the only way to listen to GBV.
M. Ward - Post War

I can't get past the first three tracks because they're so good.
Definitely some good stuff right there. He did wonders with "To Go Home," which was an ok song, but his version is pretty wow.

Today's listenings included Lindstrom and Tussle. The former is a disco/electronic dude who makes pretty nice instrumental beats. Latter is like ESG revisited sans the Scroggins. But the Scroggins were my favorite part! Still kinda neat, dudes got a solid groove.

br3ad_man 09-01-2006 07:42 PM

I want to get that M. Ward album.

Robert Crumb 09-01-2006 07:51 PM

It's a good album. Whadderya waitin' for?

YDload 09-01-2006 09:13 PM

judging by all the buzz, i might have to buy Blood Mountain ASAP and leave Amputechture for the buy later/download category.

also, good to see Bartender digging the newer QOTSA just like I am at the moment
