My next guitar will have a fix bridge :)

Shred Danson 04-13-2006 07:05 PM

My next guitar will be a custom :)

GenuineImitation 04-13-2006 07:14 PM

Hey guys. I just got back from the cd store. This is what I bought:

Dave Gilmour - On an Island
The Clash - London Calling
Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
Rush - In Rio
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
Faith No More - Angel Dust

I was really disappointed because they were sold out of the new Kalmah album and Lacuna Coil's new album.

Shred Danson 04-13-2006 07:30 PM
Lacuna Coil's new album.
I heard that was disappointing...
I heard that was disappointing...
They had it on sale for 7 bucks the day before, so I figured it wouldn't put a big dent in my wallet to try it out.
My next guitar will be a custom :)
Cool, man ! :)

And how much did that cost GenuineImitation ?

Good philosophy.

blue3 04-13-2006 07:52 PM

I got Faith No More CDs today, too. The Real Thing and King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime.

Stormrider 04-13-2006 07:55 PM

Its about a month or so, maybe a lil more that I havn't bought a cd :(

It will be a lot more too, at the rate that I'm getting money, which is basicly nothing.

blue3 04-13-2006 07:59 PM

Get a job?

Stormrider 04-13-2006 08:02 PM

That could wait a year or 2 :p

Shattered_Future 04-13-2006 08:09 PM
I heard that was disappointing...
It all depends on how you look at it...if you aren't a Lacuna Coil fan, there's no way in hell this will convert you.

If you are, you got a few options...the singing is improved, but the music has gone downhill. It's very nu-metal now, sans rapping, but there's some interesting ethnic elements in it.

The best and worst thing about the album is its simplicity. As before, it's completely generic and you won't find anything new on there, but it's irresistably catchy.

I need to find a summer job...

Illmatic 04-13-2006 09:11 PM

I had no idea how I got by without a job...asking my mom for money would just be embarrassing.

Then again I'm 19 so I feel differently about it.

Cain 04-13-2006 11:04 PM

Well, I am thoroughly tired, have just come back from the Joe Satriani/Eric Johnson concert in NYC, and have decided that under no circumstances will I ever sit (or, in this case, stand) through an entire instrumental guitar player concert again. I just cannot watch all that guitar soloing and wailing for three hours plus. It's too much already.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I went, and Satriani especially was very awesome, but it still just gets boring. One can't help it.

Steerpike 04-13-2006 11:10 PM

10 bucks says if you said that in the Guitar forum, they'd be slinging mud at you within five minutes.

On the topic of jobs, it looks like I'll be working at Lowes Theater this summer. At least I get to watch movies for free.

The other day someone thought I was a senior...why does everyone think I'm older than I really am? :-\

Josh 04-14-2006 04:57 AM

wow, no posts here for 5 and a half hours, what's up with you guys?
finally there's nice weather here, w00t. still too windy to go shooting though :upset:

i'll be needing to buy petrol before then though :(

Because you're grumpy.

Jev 04-14-2006 05:32 AM

I need to get my Graphics project done by Tuesday but I'm just not motivated enough  Dammit.

Josh 04-14-2006 06:11 AM

heh, my motivation is at an all-time low, even though if i screw up it means i don't get into one of the best universities in the country. i guess that after being at school for 13 years i've just had enough now.

Stormrider 04-14-2006 06:26 AM

Good morning everyone. I love waking up when its not dark outside :)

How is everyone ?

Jev 04-14-2006 06:27 AM

I feel exactly the same. This is only my GCSEs but I need to get a B in science to get 2 of My As level choices but I just can't be bothered :(

Sup Stormrider. I only just got up an hour ago too. It's 1:20pm here :p

Stormrider 04-14-2006 06:29 AM

Heh, I'm OK, you ? :p

I don't like waking up late in the day though. Then half your day is gone :-/
Though that rarely happens. I'm usualy up early.

you lazy bastard. i woke up at 7, got up at 9. then i was out 10 - 11.30 looking after the horses, walking the dogs, etc.
i don't like sleeping in though, it really is a waste of your day.
i have to get BBB or ABC to get into Durham, if i screw up (but still get at least BCC) then i'm off to Lancaster, which would kind of screw up all my plans.
it's only my French i'm really bothered about, my physics and geography should be ok.
/touches wood.

Yeah I know I hate it too.

I have a headache even though I didn't drink at all last night. I didn't touch anything yet I came home feeling drunk.

Stormrider 04-14-2006 06:36 AM

Horses ?

EDIT: to Josh

i feel like that every monday night when i'm driving home from a 6hour-plus shift at the pub, where pretty much all i've done all evening is watch other people get pissed, and get tired myself. i probably shouldn't drive in that state, because i get home ok but i can never remember the drive.
Stormrider331: yeh, my family have 3 horses, i ride a fair bit. they take a lot of looking after though, as we have to travel to them as we can't keep them at home until we move onto the farm in the summer.

Oh, thats pretty cool. I've been horse riding only once. And it was really horse back riding, more like horse back walking around a lil closed area :p

kurrpt 04-14-2006 06:40 AM

whats up fellas?

Stormrider 04-14-2006 06:46 AM

Nothing. I'm going to start working on homework while listening to some music :)

You ?

Jev 04-14-2006 06:49 AM

Man I wanna play some guitar but I have no guitar!

Well. I have an acoustic and my KKV but the acoustic's out of tune and the KKV's jack is fooked.

kurrpt 04-14-2006 06:51 AM

i added about 25 CDs to my collection last night (SWEEEET!)

Stormrider 04-14-2006 06:56 AM

Jev 04-14-2006 07:00 AM

Me neither.

kurrpt 04-14-2006 07:01 AM

i saw it once...

was more than enough for me

Leukeh 04-14-2006 07:06 AM

I saw it... they kinda left a major part out at the end though... but it was long enough already. I liked it, but it's the sort of movie you'd only see once.

I'm listening to some Frenzal Rhomb...

*I don't wanna be your designated driver when it's much more fun to be passed out in the corner YEAH!*
