college basketball is so awful. there are some good games usually during march madness but usually it's just a bunch of people with no talent passing the ball around the perimetre for 30 seconds and then missing long 2 point shots. plus ncaa fans are the worst. nothing worse than trying to sit through a game and hearing a bunch of fratty losers humming non stop.

yeah i stopped watching basketball in general lately

sixers have been too shitty for too long for me to care

at least in ncaa theres actual enthusiasm for the game

but that's a pretty good generalization from someone who doesn't watch basketball. i mean actual basketball. there's a lack of defence in the context of the rules because you can't hand-check anymore but to say nobody plays it is pretty ignorant.

sounding a lot like brent now though which is not my intent, i just think the ncaa is a grossly inferior product that gets inflated because of school pride, which as far as im concerned is an embarrassing waste of time.

fwiw i dont have any problem with frats even though anybody i've met (like, in real life) who's part of one is a total loser. im sure there are exceptions and the social aspect of it doesn't bother me one bit.

and i dont see how be saying that school pride is the point of emphasis in college sports is a generalization. im just saying that school pride is why people like it not because the quality of play is any good

my school doesn't have a football team but our basketball team is a really good division ii school, haven't noticed too much school pride even though I work 50 feet from the gym

and you've stated before that you're a usc football fan, so it wouldn't make any sense to follow both usc football and ucla basketball unless you really are that bandwagon

plus, ucla basketball by and large hasn't been the dominant force it used to be, while kansas has stayed largely dominant throughout my entire life

strong division ii program compared with one of the three schools in existence to have 2,000 wins

and the school with the highest winning percentage in all of D1 basketball since our current coach was hired
