Exactly. And you seem to just have a family that would make a way better TV show than mine. |
I repeat, I am going to go see Apocalyptica :-D
Rebel Without a Crew is turning out ot be one of the best purchases I've made in a while. Very inspiring.
Whilst thinking of movies, I've had to revise my plan. The editing software I want is PC exclusive, so there goes the PowerBook idea. However, a little research into the matter showed that Gateway notebooks are less expensive and every bit as reliable. So now I'm saving up for a Gateway notebook, Adobe Premiere Pro editing suite, and a set of headphones.
BIG headphones? Adobe kicks epic ass...nice choice. My dad got it from one of his friends who works in the circus...in turn, he bought it in Mexico for 10 bucks. That's how we got Microsoft Office as well. :p |

Because your cousin is actually your half-brother, which totally confuses me. |
It wouldn't if you lived in Alabama!

Hey, now, no southern jokes :(

It's kinda confusing but I can see how it's possible
It wouldn't if you lived in Alabama! ZING
I knew a time would come when I could post this. Things that Bill Gates would change if he was from Alabama: 1. They would be called "Winders95, WindersNT, and Winders 3.1". 2. Dialog boxes that give you the choice of "Yes, No, or Cancel" would now read "Ahh-right, Naw, or Git". 5. Instead of the "Ta-da" sound when opening Winders, you would now hear the "Dueling Banjos". 6. The "Recycle Bin" in Winders95 would now be called "Out-House". 7. When you open the sound player, you would hear a digitized drunk yelling "Freebird". 8. Powerpoint would now be known as "Parpawnt". 9. Microsoft's programming tolls would be "Vishul Basic" and "Vishul C++". 10. The Winders95 logo would be the Confederate Flag. 11. It's cool. I played it on guitar with my cousin once. It sounded pretty sweet. |

Some guy screamed "Play Freebird" at a Blue Man Group show. I was like...whoa. This guy must SERIOUSLY be on an acid trip. To Steerpike: It's always good to have connections... :p |
I have connections, but they never get me anything.

Hehe. I was jamming with my band in my friend's garage and his mom came out and told us to play freebird.
|
Hehe, at a Battle of the Bands comp at my University, I heard (out of 10 bands) no less than 4 different versions of Freebird and 3 different versions of Enter Sandman. :p

Oh. My. God.

Tonight = productive. |
Last night, I watched TV with my girlfriend and my mother. Hardly exciting compared to your night, Joe. :p
|
I have used to word fcuk about 100 times on the way home. I honestly just can't believe it. Good Lord. |
Tonight's been a boring night for me. Band only jammed for like an hour today, and I had nothing else to do for the rest of the day.
Riva, did you get my e-mail? |
I haven't done anything tonight, really.
I am trying to recover from last night ;) |

You NEED to hurry up and record something so I can hear it. :D |
I remember when I was about 13 or 14, it was late at night, my buddies and I were hangin' out, and all of a sudden, somebody shouted "DUDE! Let's TP (my ex girlfriend)'s house!" and everybody was like "OH HELL YES!", everybody including me, because, well to be honest she was quite the bitch. But anyway, we got like five 12-roll packs and headed on out to her house. We completely covered the house and trees and cars in TP, but one of my friends thought it'd be a great idea to turn on the hose and spray a bunch of toilet paper onto the windows, because it would be stuck in the morning, but apparently, the family was still up because they just got home an hour earlier from an Angels game, because right when he started to do that, the ex's dad opens the door, says in a deep angry voice "HEY", and we're all like, "EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF!"...good times, great memories.
  I've had some fairly weird experiences with TPing. But mainly on the side of giving, not recieving. What movies did you see DM? |
ATTN - REGARDS MY POLL
Okay, as I guess most of you guys will be aware, some bands were a little contentious when it comes to 'modern rock'. Here are the ones that accumulated enough votes to get in, but that still might be hotspots. Can I please get some opinions on whether they should be allowed in or not? Korn Rammstein Green Day Kyuss System Of A Down Tool |
I'm going to Tucson, Arizona to visit my girlfriend in four days. :so excited:
Unfortunately, she's gonna wake me up at 5:30 AM to go to her dumb work-out club on at least one of the days I'm there. :-/ System of a Down should certainly be included. The others I'm concerned about: especially with Green Day, Tool and to a lesser extent Korn I'm concerned about fanboys ruining the poll. I have no real opinion on Rammstein or Kyuss. |
Shows I am considering:
The Doors of the 21st Century featuring Ray Manzarek • Ian Astbury • Robby Krieger with special guest Robert Mirabal TUE. AUG. 9 $55.00 New York Dolls WED. AUG. 10 $35.00 Kings of Leon & Secret Machines w/ Helio Sequence THU. AUG. 11 $25.00 DEVO SUN. AUG. 14 $55.00 Hieroglyphics (feauring Del the Funkee Homosapien, Souls of Mischief, Casual & Pep Love) w/ Non Phixion • OC (of D.I.T.C.) • Boom Bap Project TUE. AUG. 16 $18.00 Apocalyptica MON. Can I please get some opinions on [the below artists and] whether they should be allowed in or not? Korn Rammstein Green Day Kyuss System Of A Down Tool
I say no to all, to be honest. I can foresee fanboyism with Tool (and weren't they part of the metal competition, anyway?), and the others aren't really as modern rock as what I think your competition is looking for. Kyuss and Green Day are "maybes" (I lean towards Kyuss moreso than Green Day), but certainly not SOAD, Rammstein, Korn, or Tool. $0.02 |
System Of A Down - Ie
That mean yes or no?
I say no to all, to be honest. I can foresee fanboyism with Tool (and weren't they part of the metal competition, anyway?),
Oddly enough, no. |
Kyuss aren't modern rock, IMO.

Yeah, I got my other band (the thrash one) on the list for the local band compilation, so yeah, it'll be soon. Good news, though, my other bandmates are embracing old Children of Bodom and want to adopt more of a style like that instead of It Dies Today, so I'm happy... Oh, and wrong thread for that (inside joke). :p |

Yea, plus that show is 55 bucks. I hear that Zakk really tears it up live, and this is at a small club. |
