I like the Flash of the Blade chorus. Bruce's voice sounds really good.

JamJar 06-11-2006 03:05 AM

Flash Of The Blade is amazing. I love the harmonzed instrumental section.

I also realized how much SSOASS owns yesterday. I think it's overtaken Powerslave as my favourite Maiden album.

Apocalyptic Raids 06-11-2006 03:22 AM

SSOASS has always been my favourite.

Lord Abortion 06-11-2006 06:33 AM

I prefer Flash of the blade to pretty much everything on there, apart from ROTAM and Aces High.

JamJar 06-11-2006 06:37 AM

My order on that album is probably:

ROTAM > Aces High > Powerslave > Flash Of The Blade > 11:58 > Back In The Village > Losfer' Words > The Duellists

It's my second favourite Maiden album. So damn good.

crag 06-11-2006 06:43 AM

RotAM > Powerslave > BitV > Aces High > Duellists > FotB > Losfer Words > 23:58

:)

Lord Abortion 06-11-2006 06:46 AM

ROTAM>Aces High>FOTB>Powerslave>The Duellists>11:58>Back in the village>Losfer words

Josh 06-11-2006 07:43 AM

all of Powerslave pwns, although IMO The Duellists is the weakest song on there.
i may edit my mp3s of Back in the Village and Powerslave so that the evil intro and drumroll are part of Powerslave when it cycles up on my mp3 player, but i don't really think i can be arsed.

PAJJ 06-11-2006 07:46 AM

Aces High > 2MTM > Powerslave > ROTAM > BitV > Duellists > FotB > Losfer Words (Big 'Orra)

Quick poll

Which Live cd should i get?

Deth 06-11-2006 08:41 PM

Live After Death or Rock in Rio. I would go LAD myself.

Mikesn 06-11-2006 09:18 PM

For Powerslave I'd say...

Powerslave > Aces High > Rime of the Ancient Marriner > 2MtM > Flash of the Blade > Back in the Village > The Duellists

I'd go for Live After Death. Of all the live albums, it has my favourite tracks on it. Really, depends what era of Maiden you prefer the most, I guess. That's how I would chose anyways...

pep 06-11-2006 09:53 PM

I bought A Real Live/Dead One instead of LAD and im regretting that decision. If Wasted Years appeared on ARL/DO i wouldnt be regretting it though.

live after death or death on the road.

But im a bit biased considering i bought the death on the road dvd last night.
You really cant go wrong with any maiden live cd, except for a real live/dead one. The rest are all ace.:thumb:

Number of the Beast is my favourite album

JamJar 06-12-2006 01:01 AM

Get Live After Death but if you're after a DVD, get Rock In Rio.

666Ozzfan 06-12-2006 05:11 AM

Rock In Rio is a great DVD. Even if it's just to have some background noise while you're doing something else

-The Frank 06-12-2006 08:56 AM

Today i was thinking how great it would be for the next maiden tour if they chose 'the edge of darkness' as the blaze-era song they would play live. It just sounds like a kick *** live song

They should do more than just one...The Aftermath, look for the truth and fortunes of war would be awesome aswell.

crag 06-12-2006 12:36 PM

Judgement of Heaven would be another good one to do me reckons. I'd be happy with any X-Factor material really.

Josh 06-12-2006 02:00 PM

i'd love it soooooo much if they played Sign of the Cross, one of my favourite Blaze-era songs. or Blood on the World's Hands.

Blood the Worlds Hands would totally own, as would Fortunes of War.

Lord Abortion 06-12-2006 02:07 PM

I'd be happy with anything off X-Factor that isn't the first three songs.

That'd be great. Edge of Darkness is one of my favourite Blaze songs.

I'd like to buy Live After Death, but over here it costs over $30, and I don't feel like paying that much for an album. (As of now anyways)

JamJar 06-12-2006 02:08 PM

I would also love to see The Unbeliever. I really, really love that song is one of my top three favourites off of the X-Factor. Another top-notch Blaze song would be Como Estais Amigos: one of the best songs on VXI.

Yeah, but they played that at Rock in Rio, I love the song, but I'd much rather hear something that I haven't heard endlessly.
