Early evening here

Steerpike 07-03-2005 12:39 AM

I work the graveyard shift now, so I'm having dinner for breakfast and vice versa.

Cain 07-03-2005 12:40 AM
Cain, you are notoriously difficult to get ahold of, you know that?

I ask again, would you be interested in working on commission?
If you mean music, I'm a little confused. I'm sure that I would love to, but I would like a little more detail on what exactly you're looking for.

Zaak 07-03-2005 12:41 AM

My head hurts

RCA 07-03-2005 12:41 AM

Seems convenient. :D

Infernal hails, Vio-lence!

Well good for you.

Welcome, child. Behold the grace of Rock and Metal.
I work the graveyard shift now, so I'm having dinner for breakfast and vice versa.
I usually have dinner at 3 AM, that's when my grandma gets home from working at Wal Mart, and I'm usually too lazy to make myself something...

Duh, it's the internet.
If you mean music, I'm a little confused. I'm sure that I would love to, but I would like a little more detail on what exactly you're looking for.
Basically, I have a cluster of films I'm hoping to produce in the next couple of years, some of which may actually have a budget. I'd prefer to commission original songs and soundtracks from independent or unsigned artists for two reasons:

1. Since I'm doing indie film, I couldn't in good conscience not support indie music.
2. Even if I could, I wouldn't want to deal with record labels who would demand extra royalties and stiff the actual artists.

I thought of you because you're into New Age, Celtic, and Prog, and I need someone who's willing to compose something a little more avant-garde than the usual fair.

For example, the first film I hope to make in 2006 is and adaptation of "Pickman's Model" by H.P. Lovecraft. I'm already working on acquiring a painter to make the necessary portraits for the film, but I want an original soundtrack for it as well.

Read the original short story and let me know if you'd be interested. If not, I'll list a few other projects I had in mind, and if you like the sound of any of them, we can go from there.

And you shan't for a little while longer, because it's 2:50 AM and I need to sleep. But hello, glad to see you. I've actually seen you around quite a bit, but I've been lurking more for the past few days. :)

Steerpike: sounds like a ton of fun. I'd be curious as to whether I'd do it for free, however, although cost is an issue for you then forget it. I'd just like more detail when you can give it. I'm liking the sound of your thoughts though, I'll check the story out and get back to you. It sounds like fun.

Your mom.

I need to get to bed to. Although I won't, probably. But I should.

Cool. I'll assure you, I'll give you the details once I'm certain they'll work. If you'd like to know of any other projects I have in mind, let me know.

Until then, see ya around.

I've got one if you're interested.

Necrophiliac. Haha, I love it when people talk crap about my mom and don't know she's dead. "Ha, you band dead chicks." That's kinda sadistic and macabre, but hey.

By the way, I know it's all in good fun, homie.

Steerpike 07-03-2005 01:01 AM

"Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

Basically, it's one big satire of religion and apocalyptic lore.

Taste_My_Scythe 07-03-2005 10:54 AM

What is Riva's Monday Night Mayhem?

NJMetalMeister 07-03-2005 10:57 AM

Rivas monday night mayhem are a series of threads that HeavyRiva puts out once a week, on monday, which basically recaps the highlights of the last week on R&M. Usually a pretty quality read
