A handful of great songs, and the rest are fairly average. Good album overall.

Oh geeze, I am listening to [I]Chairs Missing[/I] from that Wire box set, and the new remastering is so much different, right off the bat. Will take getting used to, but I think I like it.

New things pop out. Like backup vocals in "Men Second" and the phasing on the bass guitar right at the start of the album is shockingly more dramatic.

What versions did you have originally?

EMI bonus tracks for [I]Chairs Missing[/I].

I guess that's the same version I have then. Mine came in the box set thing with the three albums. I wouldn't have thought there would be much difference between that and this new box set, but I guess I was wrong, huh?

Yeah, it really is. I think it's extremely underrated. It's my second favourite QOTSA album.
