+3kk! 02-15-2005 11:04 PM

man, this place died

Illmatic 02-15-2005 11:06 PM

I'm just glad my cousin's all right.

Kurtz 02-15-2005 11:13 PM

Huh?

Illmatic 02-15-2005 11:15 PM

One of my cousins who is 22 years old (and was pretty much like an older brother for me) got into a car accident today and got a few broken ribs, a broken collarbone, a punctured lung, and a concussion, and actually should have been in even worse shape.

Kurtz 02-15-2005 11:22 PM

Oh jeez.

It's good he's doing fine though.

That sucks like crazy. Hopefully he fully recovers and is fine.

All the cool people are listening to it.

Lyrics:
(Begin shortly after piano comes in)
Self Loathing, the end is near
Discrimination (is) all he ever hears
He can take the pain away, he has no fear
The end approaches, he doesn’t shed a tear

Look at the view from up here
The cliff is tall and its face is sheer
At its approach, his mind becomes clear
The gentle caress of cold steel graces his ear

(Gunshot)

(Trumpet plays melody here)
Born on a sunny day the best seen in years
Omen of the future, the death of so many tears
Tortured child prodigy, inert on the bed
Forty short years will bring news of his death

A new hope brought into the world, savior of them all
In a world torn by war’s ravages, still not long gone
All that has passed was lost in new life
New hopes of peace, in the man christened John
Fate preordained in his namesake, soon he will fall
Destined to play the game, as an innocent pawn

Miracle so they said, he should not be so
Laying silent in bed, what can he know?
Imbued with the power, a gift from what god?
Woe given to the man who refuses to nod

A new hope brought into the world, savior of them all
In a world torn by war’s ravages, still not long gone
All that has passed was lost in new life
New hopes of peace, in the man christened John
Fate preordained in his namesake, soon he will fall
Destined to play the game, as an innocent pawn

(During Silent part, parentheses are screamed)
A stress no man can know (unprepared for the sacrifice)
Move with the flow (unprepared for the sacrifice)
He’ll find out soon (look how he grows)
Imminent doom (he reaps what we’ve sown)

A new hope brought into the world, savior of them all
In a world torn by war’s ravages, still not long gone
All that has passed was lost in new life
New hopes of peace, in the man christened John
Fate preordained in his namesake, soon he will fall
Destined to play the game, as an innocent pawn

(after all music stops)
But so it must go, as it is impossible to know

Got my new Imperanon album Stained today. Fantastic. Yet another wonderful Scandinavian power metal act to add to my collection.

ATM 02-16-2005 01:14 AM

Hey all.

ArcLite 02-16-2005 01:17 AM

Hey fellas, anyone have something interesting to talk about? I haven't had my coffee yet so my brain is fuctioning at sub par level for a while.

ATM 02-16-2005 01:18 AM

Anyone got any rep to spare? Im almost at 1000.

ArcLite 02-16-2005 01:20 AM
Anyone got any rep to spare? Im almost at 1000.
I tried, but I have to spread it around. Any other coffee drinkers?

ATM 02-16-2005 01:21 AM

I drink coffee sometimes.

ArcLite 02-16-2005 01:24 AM

I have a caffeine addiction, its kind of funny. I get headaches without it. I was trying to see if there were any other coffee connoisseurs to discuss different blends with. Do you drink wine at all?

ATM 02-16-2005 01:28 AM

:p I feel like a redneck now. I smoke cigarettes in the morning instead of drinking coffee. And I dont like wine, I drink beer.

ArcLite 02-16-2005 01:31 AM

Ahh you smoke, well done sir. In that case you really need to start drinking coffe more. No better way to start your morning than coffee and a smoke. What kind of heaters do you hit?

ATM 02-16-2005 01:32 AM

Marlboro lights. Occasionaly I'll have a coffee and a smoke if I am really tired.

ArcLite 02-16-2005 01:36 AM

I'm a Camel man myself. What about brew? I like any Miller or Michelob, Coors light if I feel like drinking piss beer. But my favorite is Labatt Blue, Canadian import that you may not have heard of, really good.

ATM 02-16-2005 01:39 AM

Hmm as far as beer, mainly whatever I can get my hands on since I am only 19. But when I have a choice I usually just go with some Bud Light.

ArcLite 02-16-2005 01:40 AM

Meh, not a fan of anything Bud. But yeah, I'm 19 too so whatever's around I'll drink.

-Same number of posts as pages...

ATM 02-16-2005 01:41 AM

It's sad that I almost have as many posts as you. What kind of music are you into?

ArcLite 02-16-2005 01:49 AM

I have a pretty broad taste. I grew up on Classic rock so I love that. My main metal genre I like is the whole Scandinavian harsh vocal power metal ie. CoB, Norther, Wintersun, Kalmah...But I can listen to pretty much anything.

ATM 02-16-2005 01:51 AM

My taste is really broad too. My dad was always playing Beatles, Zappa, CSNY, etc. so that is where my roots are. I have branched out a lot in the past few years to metal, underground hip hop, and other shit like that.

ArcLite 02-16-2005 01:55 AM

I'm listening to some Foreigner right now, great band. One of the many classic rock bands I have to thank my dad for exposing me to.
