OMG I finally got this CD to burn and then I stick it in my CD player and it says "no disc" like ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE CDS?
My Cd player does that to burnt discs too. Just try it again. It still might take a short time to read it.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-20-2006 02:35 PM

I did it four times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm like freakin out this is making me so mad. I'll go try it again haha.

cobert 06-20-2006 02:36 PM

Heh, those discks (lawl) must be terrible.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-20-2006 02:37 PM

Haha, ya it's not going to work. I don't think Best Buy will let me take them back either if they are opened and everything. I don't know what the effin problem is.

Dead Star 06-20-2006 02:42 PM

they should let you take them back of theyre faulty.

Bad Blood 06-20-2006 02:45 PM

It's the CD player. The lazers won't be able to read the disc.

It happens a lot with copied CD's.

I just bought some CD-RWs the other day and they are doing the same thing. :(

[EDIT: Wait, nevermind, I misread something. You're problem is completley different than mine.]

DepthsOfDreams555 06-20-2006 02:53 PM

Why? What is wrong with yours?
they should let you take them back of theyre faulty.
They're not faulty I'm sure they're used for something else I just got the wrong ones.
It's the CD player. The lazers won't be able to read the disc.

I've used burnt cd's on this cd player many times though.

Bad Blood 06-20-2006 02:54 PM

Try it on a different CD player, Zach.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-20-2006 02:55 PM

Well I put it back into my computer and it said it couldn't read the disc!!!

Bad Blood 06-20-2006 02:56 PM

Oh right, hmm, I don't know then. You burning with iTunes?

Edit: GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

DepthsOfDreams555 06-20-2006 02:57 PM

No iTunes just wouldn't work, and then I used Musicmatch Jukebox and it worked and it said it was succesful, I don't know this is total bull shit.

Bad Blood 06-20-2006 02:58 PM

In iTunes, check the burning prefs, there might be something wrong in there like how it's burning it onto the CD.

I dunno anythnig else that could be a problem.

Special Brew 06-20-2006 03:03 PM

I bought some CD-RWs and planned on burning a few albums onto them with Windows Media Player, but whenever I stick the disc in, it reads it as a DVD-R and won't burn the mp3s, even though I know it's not a DVD-R. Wtf?!

DepthsOfDreams555 06-20-2006 03:04 PM

I'm not sure what I would want to change in the burning prefrences I don't really see anything. Thanks for trying to help man.

Dead Star 06-20-2006 03:06 PM

Larrrssssssoooooooooooonnnnnnn

:D

Bad Blood 06-20-2006 03:06 PM

Go to prefs > advanced > burning

and see if its burning as an audio CD and that it's picking up your burning software.

adarkform 06-20-2006 03:20 PM

ive never had a problem with burning cds, and ive bought atleast six 50 packs of blanks, plus a lot more, so id say its the cds

DepthsOfDreams555 06-20-2006 03:21 PM

Yea it is....aren't CD-RW's supposed to be used for burning audio cd's?

adarkform 06-20-2006 03:34 PM

i think so, ive only burned one cd using cd-rw, so i dunno

chumpradio 06-20-2006 03:38 PM

CD-RW don't work in most cd players.
Try it again with a CD-R, that should work fine in pretty much all cd players.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-20-2006 03:41 PM

Ya I know CD-R's work fine but I bought 25 CD-RW CD's and now they are uselss. FUCK

Dead Star 06-20-2006 03:42 PM

Sell them to people at your school.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-20-2006 03:44 PM

Considering I'm in school right now, and who would want to buy them?

Dead Star 06-20-2006 03:45 PM

Dunno, anyone wanting CDs

DepthsOfDreams555 06-20-2006 03:50 PM

Blank CD's that don't work in most CD players, I don't understand what these are used for then.

chumpradio 06-20-2006 03:52 PM

Data CDs. They are used when pirating games a lot, or just for copying stuff, and backing up all your data on the pc.

DepthsOfDreams555 06-20-2006 03:53 PM

Man that sucks, I'm really pissed, I hope they let me exchange them for some other CD's or thats 15 bucks down the effin drain.
