which recordings?! i suck on guitar :p

Crysiss 05-08-2006 03:20 PM

lol, How long you been playing?

I can play Chokehold, I still forget the riffs as im playing them though.

repcak 05-08-2006 03:27 PM

i started when i was 17... first year acoustic guitar, but i played onle once a week for maybe one hour.
after this first year i bought my first e-guitar... e-guitar for some 2years now, but i had times when i haven't touched guitar for months. best example: last year, from march till june the guitar was at home - me in vienna :/
so if you count all the time together while i play guitar... hm... with all the breaks and so on... maybe 1 1/2 years now.

Crysiss 05-08-2006 03:31 PM

Oh, Thats gotta suck.

Longest I've been away from my guitar wasnt for more then two weeks lol.

MRDuCran 05-08-2006 03:32 PM

Longest for me is 2 days, I think.

And that's out of 4 years.

Rep: I don't use a conventional recording program because my pc is too crap to run one properly. When I get my new one, I'll use Cubase.

Crysiss 05-08-2006 03:34 PM

Not even Audacity:eek:

MRDuCran 05-08-2006 03:36 PM

Never experienced it.

Not even Cubase actually, I've only ever used Cool Edit Pro 2 before, and I had to delete it because it lagged.

Now I use All Sound Recorder that records anything it hears, so I have to play the backing track, and play at the same time, save that. Then play the recording I just did and record over that, so if I make a mistake right at the end, I have to do it all again.

wow... respect.
but whats about holidays, when you travel away with your family f.e.? do you take your guitar with you?

my problem in playing guitar, were the looooong breaks i've done always. the longest break i had since january/february was one week, when i was burned out, and now last time i played two days ago.

I can't remember the last time I went on holiday, and the last time was only a caravan trip a few hours away. I'm not sure how many years ago it was.

gmoneyguy 05-08-2006 03:40 PM

I take my guitar on trips.

Crysiss 05-08-2006 03:59 PM

I try to, if not, I write music on my laptop.

I'm Charming 05-08-2006 04:27 PM

The most I ever go without playing is two days sometimes.

Maybe 1 day.

I play almost every day and several hours.

AA-12 05-08-2006 04:30 PM

I play like every few days. When I play it's for like 30 minutes :-\

It's great to be back indeed. My exile has ended. I'll still post mostly on TDMX though.

Bodom Beach Terror is going great. Once I get it done and master it. I'll record.

Don't ask every page, "have you yet" though.

I should, but it's not really important.

blue3 05-08-2006 07:32 PM

MRDuCran 05-08-2006 07:49 PM

Eh, I really don't care, I post mainly in reply to Bodom stuff because I enjoy it, other crap I ignore.

i know it wasn't you, but whats about the recording to "Universal Mind". Was it Che Guevara who promised to record it?!

Yeah it was.

Does anyone have a GP4 tab for Universal Mind? One of my fav Petrucci songs.
Actually prolly is my fav.

I doubt I can play the intro, but I could do some of the leads and chord progressions. I'll give it a try.

I was the one who promised a recording of Lashed To The Slave Stick.
Which won't happen. I didn't practice it for like a week and the ability to play the verse went straight to hell. I tried to re-do it but it was going to take a lot of work to re learn it to where I had it at.

In other words. I'm to lazy to re learn that part. :p
