yeah I'm with LMBE on this one
chorus is good enough to convince me to keep it on when it's on the radio, but I won't be ilegally pirating the whole album. |
I'm gonna try (I probably won't, but I really might) and knock out a couple reviews, so atleastr one of the following will (?) be reviewed:
Black Lips - Let it Bloom Dimmer - There My Dear The Drones - The Millers Daughter The Ponys - Laced With Romance Wires on Fire - Homewrecker |
Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt
Boris - Pink Beck - Midnite Vultures very much enjoying the first two, not so much the third. |
i'm just starting to get into Jawbreaker.
Jet Black is such a great song. |
Eels - Blinking Lights and Other Revelations
At the times when I've been paying attention it's been really good. |
Antony and the Johnsons - I Am A Bird Now
Cursive - Happy Hollow |
Reasonable Doubt still holds up 22 minutes later.
|
Jawbreaker - Dear You
|
Reasonable Doubt is definitely starting to blow my mind. I remember when I felt this way about Midnight Marauders and played nothing but that album for like a week straight.
|
That reminds me, I need to get some Jay-Z.
|
This is actually the only album of his that I like. The Black Album has some good singles but The Blueprint is so overrated it hurts.
|
I think I'll probably like The Black Album, since I like DJ Dangermouse's The Grey Album, but I might start with Reasonable Doubt.
|
I used to have that album on cassette. I don't know where its gone.
|
Blueprint is seriously overrated.
I have a soft spot for Volume 2 Hard Knock Life because it was one of my first albums. |
Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes
|
I'm all over this Silversun Pickups album, I think I've found my favorite new band.
|
I'm digging a local 'noisecore' band called Naked Burn. Their vocalist is awesome.

The Mr T Experience.

Is that the album with Biggie guesting? Cos if it is, that album owns so hard. The Bronx - S/T The Shins - Chutes Too Narrow Big L - Lifestyles Ov Da Poor & Dangerous |
The Thermals
|
Six Organs of Admittance - Compathia
Totally his best. |
The first half of The Sun Awakens is close for me.
|
And I've been rocking to a Mission of Burma live show for the past lil bit.

Weird, the production on that album is too fancy for him. |
I've been digging out my old Nirvana collection and I can't stop listening to it
|
^ I stopped listening to it three years ago.
|
Sam Cooke - Sam Cooke at the Copa Live
Broken Social Scene - You Forgot It in People |
My Morning Jacket- Z
it's a little bombastic and Radiohead-y in some places, but there's a lot of different stuff going on so I can't dislike the whole thing also why does "Off The Record" sample the theme song from Hawaii Five-O? you know what riff i'm talking about. edit: the guitar solos in "Lay Low" = hell yeah |
Nation of Ulysses - 13 Point Program...
Channel One Ulysses is one of the best things ever. |
So the new Wire 1977-1979 box set came in the mail from England today, but I'm in the middle of moving, so all my stereo stuff is torn down. But I assure you, that's what I'd be digging.
