Rampage 12-27-2004 11:36 AM

Badmoon 12-27-2004 11:56 AM
Do we have any Roky Erickson fans here?
I've heard some stuff from 13th Floor Elevator (His former band, I believe) and they have an interesting sound. And some great Psychedelic songs :thumb:

gmoneyguy 12-27-2004 12:34 PM

OMG guys, AC/DC's Back In Black is a rip off of The Ocean!

magicbus 12-27-2004 12:59 PM

Dude, freakin anyone who doesn't have The Last Waltz should go get it now OMGOMZG. Aright?

I'm gonna watch it again today, but I'm goin to the mall now to get some cds and maybe that Pink Floyd biography book. I listened to Fragile and it rules. I think I might get The Yes Album, but I definently have to pick up some cds by The Band. My dad already has Music From Big Pink, so I'll probably get the self titled Brown one. Later.

EDIT: I got Saucerful of Secrets: The Pink Floyd Odyssey, but no cds until tomorrow when I use gift cards at Best Buy.

Broken Arrow 12-27-2004 02:38 PM

Well, I've been reading my Jim Morrison biography all day.

I have to get around to reading the Dylan autobiography, but I've been reading "Fargo Rock City" by Chuck Klosterman instead. It's not as good as his other book ("Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs") but it's still an interesting read nonetheless.

Fair Warning on account of it's their hardest rocking album and it proves that Roth had 10 times the balls that Sammy does.

Or s/t. Can't deny that.

jpj 12-27-2004 03:36 PM

Today I got JPJ-Zooma, Les Claypool's Flying Frog Brigade-Live Frogs Set 2(they cover all of Animals), Steve Miller-Fly Like An Eagle, Led Zeppelin-HTWWW(finally! and for only $12)

I was gonna get The Last Waltz but I didn't fell like spending $22 on one item.

Also if there is anyone outnthere that doubts the powers of JPJ go buy Zooma.

magicbus 12-27-2004 03:42 PM
Alright I have that song and can send it to you on MSN because my AIM doesn't let me send files

I was just watching the Simpsons, and there was this joke:

The Simpsons were in Africa dancing to tribal music around a fire. Marge says, "This song has been playing for hours!". Homer replies, "Yeah, it's just like the Allman Brothers!".

Classic.

jpj 12-27-2004 04:31 PM

Do you know what season it was? I got the 1st season on DVD, I hope there are classic rock jokes.

Woodstock 12-27-2004 04:33 PM

I know it's one of the very later seasons.

Today I bought:

Jeff Beck-Truth
Cream-Disreali Gears

I didn't know JPJ made a guest appearance on Truth.

jpj 12-27-2004 04:34 PM

I was gonna get the Disraeli Gears Deluxe Edition today, but I decided to get Live Frogs and HTWWW used instead.

rAOL 12-27-2004 04:35 PM

Let's talk about the greatness of Blow By Blow.

My favorite track is Thelonius, and You Know What I Mean. Yours?

Yea, man, the DVD is pretty amazing. Their music is very complex, so to see where all the different layers of a song are coming from is very interesting. If that makes sense?
