because for most of us, it takes several listens to really like any of the songs other than "Sometimes." Also all the songs sound exactly the same at first and if you can't differentiate, you're less likely to care. some of us (like me) just kept listening and it grew on us, but others (like pixies) gave up. no big deal.

i've heard the record plently of times. i listen to isn't anything and their eps a lot, 'Loveless' just is really boring. it doesn't have to do with me not being able to differentiate. its just not a good record.

i havent heard any other MBV ever

i got into mark kozelek's night lp today at work. nice stuff.

I kind of liked that Neon Golden album. Everyone tells me it's not that great though so I won't bother checking it out.

Also re Loveless, I think the first time I listened to it was when I liked it the most. I still have respect for it but I haven't listened to it for at least 6 months.

it's not the most amazing accomplishment of 2002 or anything but it's enjoyable. 2-3 songs are gorgeous. i actually like their album 12 more and shrink is no slouch either.
