bleep_bloop 08-29-2006 12:25 AM

what are the numbers next to the artísts?

Little Man being Erased 08-29-2006 12:33 AM

it's a weekly top artist chart generated by http://www.last.fm/

the numbers after the artist indicate how many times you listened to that artist during the week.

bleep_bloop 08-29-2006 12:35 AM

oh.

Currently listening to Grizzly Bear. Yellow House is a really good evening album. And hey, it's the evening.

Edit: Also, looking at this list, it's apparent that Last.fm screwed up on me. Cale missing.

Zappa 08-29-2006 02:42 AM

REM's Lifes Rich Pageant and Document. Getting really into this band.

Zappa 08-29-2006 02:42 AM

Why did it do that to "Document?"

Robert Crumb 08-29-2006 02:47 AM

Chad, I believe.

Interstate 08-29-2006 05:19 AM

I just got the newest Midlake album. It's pretty awesome.

Interstate 08-29-2006 03:25 PM

R.E.M - Automatic For The People
Dizzee Rascal - Boy In Da Corner - Man I can't wait till he releases a new record. I have no idea when that is but I can't wait.

I compiled all the mp3s for the Until Human Voices Wake Us And We Drown (the 5x10" only release on Rune Grammofon) - so that Rune Grammofon tag is actually just the label's compilations.

Last.fm missed a lot, I listened to all of Paris Hilton's album, but that didn't register.
How is Jason Molina's album? I've been considering downloading it.

Guided By Voices - everything

oh man I forgot how much I love this band. I remember a couple years ago whenever I was really bored in class, I just ran through the entirety of Bee Thousand in my head.

Both of them are really great, sparse acoustic albums. I've listened to the most recent, Let Me Go, Let Me Go, Let Me Go, a few times. It's an excellent and very downtrodden record, but overall I'd prefer Pyramid Electric Co..

Diggin'
Alog - Duck-Rabbit

Autechre - Tri Repeate
Pere Ubu - Dub Housing
Radiohead - Hail to the Theif
Bill Hicks - Relentless/Dangerous/Goatboy

The Great Decay 08-29-2006 05:15 PM

I used to have a prejudice against anything remotely electronica based, but now since this prejudice is gone; I can enjoy lovely electro-pop albums, like Junior Boys - So This Is Goodbye.

br3ad_man 08-29-2006 06:17 PM
Does that include the new album? It's really solid.
Not yet. I'm looking forward to buying it though, really looking forward to it. I've heard live versions of all the songs from archive.org and they sound great.

Little Man being Erased 08-29-2006 06:18 PM

The new Audioslave song is good.

'cept for the wanky Morello solo

metalicajaymz 08-29-2006 06:22 PM

I know, I actually like it. Reminds me of the MC5.

ATM 08-29-2006 06:45 PM

Bun B - Trill
Against Me! - Reinventing Axl Rose

and the 2 new Madvillian songs

Junior Boys are so pimp, I adore that album.

Today I reviewed the new Lambchop for the paper and Xiu Xiu and TV on the Radio for the station. Good music day.

Tangy zizzle 08-29-2006 07:31 PM

Audioslave love, really?

Little Man being Erased 08-29-2006 07:46 PM

Have you heard it, man? It really surprised me.

Robert Crumb 08-29-2006 07:47 PM

Ironic adoration of mainstream rock is the new ironic adoration of mainstream rap.

/snide

Just finished with my requisite OutKast diggage of the day, felt the overwhelming urge to throw Marquee Moon on. Feelin' good.

Tangy zizzle 08-29-2006 07:52 PM

Though I'll give it a listen, I don't see myself jumping wagons on this one.

Little Man being Erased 08-29-2006 07:55 PM

I don't see myself liking it enough to be interested in the new album, but still.
