The Ska Man 12-30-2005 12:16 PM

Futurama is best.

Drum Phil 12-30-2005 12:29 PM

Futurama > all

Drum Monkey 12-30-2005 12:33 PM

The Simpsons, Futurama and Family Guy are all great :thumb:

They all have their moments of glory :D and shame :upset:

Drum Phil 12-30-2005 12:38 PM

FG is the only one with any moments of "shame"

Drum Monkey 12-30-2005 12:40 PM

I think some of the new Simpsons episodes are a little shameful, as are some of the things in Futurama...

family guy is whored so much nowadays

Drum Phil 12-30-2005 12:43 PM

Some of the FG bits are way too drawn out. I find myself fast forwarding through half the joke cause it gets annoying. Like when peter stubs his toe/hits his shin and sits making stupid noises for ages after. ERGH

-TheGlassPrison- 12-30-2005 12:44 PM

Guys.

Should i spend 150$ and get the 20" AA Metal-X ride with a Yamaha stand for 150$..

Or save up a bit more and get a better ride.. i dont know what to do. :(.

Drum Monkey 12-30-2005 12:45 PM

sometimes that ^^^ will piss me off but sometimes I'll laugh... my fav though is when W.W. summons the oompa loompas and their song is cut short to kick Peter in the shin

do you like the sound? is there another ride you prefer? or are you jumping on a deal?

-DM

Drum Phil 12-30-2005 12:47 PM

^^ exactly. If you like the ride, go for it

Drum Monkey 12-30-2005 12:51 PM

I know I bought my AA Metal-X crash on a little bit of an impulse, and now I know I should have tried more crashes because I might replace it with a Vault... BTW NEVER let the salesmen try and push you into buying something, that's another reason I bought the crash... I've had it since about April but it sounds pretty good :thumb:

If you don't think you like it so much, and you'll be happier with another cymbal (that you would buy of course, I would prolly be happier with an all HHX/HH set-up but they're so much more...) don't go for it...

-DM

Drum Phil 12-30-2005 12:57 PM

Some dude was trying to convince me that ZBTs were as good as the K Custom crash i wanted (that they didnt have in stock)

I just walked from the store

Ha ha ha, sounds like this chain of stores called "Mr. Music" in my area. They carry only overpriced low-level equipment and try to pass it off as superior. "The sound of the cymbal is determined by the player". Ba ha ha ha!!!! Ok, then, I'll take a brand new set of Cambers, because I can make them sound like K's with my playing!

Drum Monkey 12-30-2005 01:02 PM

haha ya now that I've matured and my book of knowledge has grown, I can stand up for myself... No I'd like to hear another cymbal, no I don't want that Pearl CX300

-DM

Drum Phil 12-30-2005 01:04 PM

I decided to get my local store to order one in :D

16" K Custom special dry crash :D Phwoar

Drum Monkey 12-30-2005 01:06 PM

ya I'm still waiting for my cracked AAXtreme china to be replaced... as it is it should be on it's way to N.B.

-DM

Dyers EvE 12-30-2005 01:10 PM

Omigawt, I'm getting a new cymbal today. Any suggestionssss? I already have a 16" Sabian Crash. It's pretty hot.. I'm thinking of a small splash.. or an 18"

-Obscurity- 12-30-2005 01:11 PM

Oh, I'm sure you could make those Pearl's sound like Paiste Sig's with proper technique. If you can't, it's your own fault, not our fault for carrying total crap.

my technique must be awful then :upset:

guess I'll throw my AAXs in the trash if I can get a CX300 to sound the same...
