Good point. I used to think it was cool to try to get really drunk. Now since most of my friends drive I usually just have a few beers and chill, which is a lot more fun I think.

There's a difference between being straight-edge as in, it just so happens that you haven't yet taken drugs, gotten drugs, had sex, etc, and being so in that you actively and vehemently preach against such things.

A lot of people I know think it's cool to get drunk, but I don't (family issues). My friends aren't really into that yet, but I bet they will be soon. My friends are starting to annoy me actually, they are either all getting stupider and preppier or I'm getting smarter.
