ATM 12-07-2007 07:33 PM

I seriously hate those guitar guys like Satriani and Vai.

pate 12-07-2007 07:37 PM

Satriani is probably my favorite, since he does interesting stuff besides wanking and seeing how fast he can play.

Ok, I know you're younger than me, but surely you know who Kirby is, right? :(:(

pate 12-07-2007 07:45 PM

 Yes, I was kidding. Kirby was the ****. And I'm not that much younger than you.

gmoneyguy 12-07-2007 07:45 PM

refl, ya lee thats Pokemon not Kirby.

Riva 12-07-2007 07:46 PM

Kirby's Dreamland was one of my favourite Gameboy games. That and Proboctor or something.

pate 12-07-2007 07:48 PM

I had some Kirby NES game that I played the hell out of.

gmoneyguy 12-07-2007 07:48 PM

Kirby All-Stars is pretty badass.

Kage 12-07-2007 07:50 PM
Gotta catch 'em all
That's Pokemon, not Kirby.

pate 12-07-2007 07:59 PM

  I KNOW I WASN"T SRS

The people behind me were just fucking really loud. We share a wall with a vent in it, so I heard it all. I've never listened to other people fuck before.

The guy lasted like 30 seconds btw. I wanted to yell something, but thought better of it. :p

gmoneyguy 12-07-2007 08:01 PM

I would have yelled "LOL".

pate 12-07-2007 08:05 PM

Interesting night. Usually it's quiet as shit here.

gmoneyguy 12-07-2007 08:08 PM

They're getting the Christmas fever.

pate 12-07-2007 08:15 PM

I was them to start again.

>_>

<_<

I bet before the night's over they will

Deth 12-07-2007 08:17 PM

I'm getting Christmas fever as well. I've whipped out the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and everything.

pate 12-07-2007 08:21 PM

I'd rather listen to Savatage tbh.

gmoneyguy 12-07-2007 08:23 PM

I just have one TSO album, and it bores me to death.

Invicta_Veritas 12-07-2007 08:23 PM

I'd rather listen to Agalloch tbh.

TSO just isn't heavy enough.

///j/k

I like TSO, just never in the mood to listen to them.

ATM 12-07-2007 08:27 PM

I was just listening to Souls of Black lol

Permanent Solution 12-07-2007 08:28 PM
I just have one TSO album, and it bores me to death.
yeah well not everyone can have as bad taste in music as you do

Kage 12-07-2007 08:29 PM

TSO is great to see live every few years, but not really all that worthwhile to listen to on record.

pate 12-07-2007 08:30 PM
I was just listening to Souls of Black lol
Can't you see that the world we live in
Political lies are just corporate decisions

ATM 12-07-2007 08:46 PM

My roommate was talking about TSO and I had to show him some Testament.

If I have to listen to xmas music, I choose TSO.

ATM 12-07-2007 08:51 PM

Vince Guaraldi ftw

gmoneyguy 12-07-2007 09:12 PM
If I have to listen to xmas music, I choose TSO.
I'd rather classical music, tbh.

^^^^This.

Jom 12-07-2007 09:28 PM

Everyone should attend at least one TSO show, just for the festive experience.

Invicta_Veritas 12-07-2007 09:30 PM

I will at some point. I think what they do is great; I would just rather listen to other things.

They just played here a couple weeks ago; I elected not to go. I will sometime though.
Everyone should attend at least one TSO show, just for the festive experience.
This.

Not to mention it might change your view on the band as well seeing them live.

Personally they have not disappointed me yet with their performance and stage show.

Jom 12-07-2007 09:36 PM

They usually bust out a couple nice covers interspersed in their set, and while I've never seen this happen, guest musicians have appeared on stage with them and the crowd goes nuts for that.

I still love them on record, but their tickets are pretty cheap and you won't walk out of there feeling like you wasted your money.

gmoneyguy 12-07-2007 09:38 PM
Everyone should attend at least one TSO show, just for the festive experience.
I'm sure there much better live. They just seem like that type of band.

pate 12-07-2007 09:42 PM

I hear they are surprisingly heavy live.

Invicta_Veritas 12-07-2007 09:44 PM

That's what my buddy told me a couple weeks ago.

Deth 12-07-2007 09:45 PM

They must be making crazy money in that band. Venues are just packed.

But they deserve it, they're all fantastic musicians who've put in their time elsewhere.

Riva 12-07-2007 09:45 PM

I would go see them but they never seem to leave North America.

pate 12-07-2007 09:48 PM

Yeah, exactly. My buddy and I were just talking about a Savatage reunion, and came to the conclusion that TSO would have to stop selling tickets for Savatage to ever get together.

i am the robots 12-07-2007 09:48 PM

Yeah, this year they did a CCR cover and The Lacrimosa and some bits and pieces of piano covers (Bach's Toccata and Fugue, Charlie Brown theme song etc)

I have never heard of the guest musicians coming on stage, but the musicians they have working on the tour already are high quality musicians already. And I have been lucky enough to see them twice so far with Alex Skolnick and Anna Phoebe.

I paid 56 dollars for my ticket this year, and it was well worth the money.
