Well being back in america has been pretty good to me so far, although i have had a lot less free time than i did in frankfurt, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. Unfortunately i have been unable to get back my microphones so i will not be able to enter the cover competition for this month :upset: because i will not have nearly enough time to finish it now.

Also, apparently about an hour away from here there is a friendly match between Chelsea and AC Milan on sunday, but my mother is having the whole family down to welcome me back so I really cant make it, which also blows.

Other than that, i cant really complain.

Six Foot Revolver 07-28-2005 06:40 AM

I have travelled back from ye olde shops of thy village and it was a perilous quest. I rode thee white horse to the enchanted land of co-op but whilst there I was forced by an evil warlock to give him all thy gold for thee 9v battery for my zoom pedal. After this defeat I realised that thy step brother's birthday approaches so galloped to the local alcohol shop and got him some of ye olde southern comfort. Ye plague was spreading fast through thy village so I gained pace and headed to ye olde card shop. Whilst at thy olde card shop I encountered a funny card with a penguin in the middle of Antartica falling over a banana skin (it is much funnier that it sounds). Allas I galloped home and into thy sunset, safe in the knowledge that I have accomplished everything I plan to do today.

clearvision 07-28-2005 06:44 AM

You will manage to not consume ye southern comfort? That is a task lesser men, such as myself, would fail.
You will manage to not consume ye southern comfort? That is a task lesser men, such as myself, would fail.
Aye but I must resist just to see his face when he tries to drink it. He was the kinda guy who drinks it to look tough but he looks like a complete prick when he starts pulling faces. Just the thought of seeing this makes it a little bit easier of a task :)

Pulling faces while drinking ye southern comfort? But tis sweeter than a mothers bosom! Now ye Jack Daniels, that is the beverage for pulling ye faces.

Cool thread there SFR, i do listen to punk more than R&M but i didn't know much about Rancid and OI.

I'd like to get

Alice In Chains - Dirt
The Who - Quadropheniac
The Doors - Morrison Hotel

Last night I called some guy I used to go to school with that I thought hated me, and he asked if I liked AiC and I'm like "Yeah I was named after one of their songs" and he's like "cool."

No I will not explain how I was named after an ALice In Chains song. It's complicated.

KBSD91 07-28-2005 10:07 AM

Morrison Hotel is a great album, though not as good as s/t. Strange Days and LA Women.

And I also think that you mean Quadrophenia by the Who.

Drugstep 07-28-2005 11:22 AM

Quadrophenia, Quadropheniac, same basic idea.

I have Strange Days and The Doors, and the reason I want Morrison Hotel is because I hear it's more rock-oriented than their earlier efforts, and I like the rock songs a bit more than the psychadelic stuff.

I really wish a mother would upload me Little Wing by SRV in the YSI thrad. :upset: ...

 i remember when i was ignored in the pop-punk yousendit thread, i'm sure it was 'cause i mentioned i was from R+M. :(

Firecrackercheese (sorry i can't remember what your new name is, yes i'm retarded) - I have a Jordan Rudess album 4NYC, it is ok. 'My Thoughts' is an amazing song. Then there are some good songs. Then some not so good songs. And then one awful song called lamb chops where he mimicks nursery rhymes. But yeah, i think he wrote the stuff very quickly after 9/11 and he played the concert where the audio was obtained to make money for the firefighters of NYC.
