 He just made a thread. And I wish I was tipping back the shweel a bit on this here Friday night.

Riva 02-04-2005 05:20 AM

Mid day Friday? More like 9.20pm Friday night and I just finished another GRUELLING day at work. :(

ArcLite 02-04-2005 05:21 AM

Dammit, I was again thinking you're in UK.

*Shakes fist in a fashion reminiscent of an angry man*

ArcLite 02-04-2005 05:26 AM

You work at a grociery store, correct?

dUSK 02-04-2005 05:27 AM
*Shakes fist in a fashion reminiscent of an angry man*
You should also yell "Dang nabbit" ah-la Grandpa Simpson style.

Riva 02-04-2005 05:34 AM

Yes, Chris, I do work in Hell.

And Greg, I prefer Darn Swaggit.

ArcLite 02-04-2005 05:36 AM

Heh, I used to work in hell too. Started out bagging, then cashiering, then stocking, then dairy, and finished in produce. Pretty much saw every bit of hell. What is your hellacious specialty?

Riva 02-04-2005 05:44 AM

Produce, with some Deli and Registers thrown in. :-/

munky_magik 02-04-2005 06:08 AM

OK, so I saw Megadeth last night. Good show, the band put on a solid performance, the sound was nice, atmosphere was great. Dave is a really good front man.
The set list was a bit lacking.
Diamond head were good as support when they stuck to their older material.

I think the best part of the night was when I found out Porcupine Tree are playing Glasgow in April

ArcLite 02-04-2005 06:10 AM

Wow, that was the best part ehh? Well at least you got the experience of seeing them. What song was the best?

munky_magik 02-04-2005 06:13 AM

The show was great, but finding out PT are coming here was a revelation :)
Holy Wars was brillant. The Peace sells/Mechanix medley was pretty good as well.

BoboTheRagingHobo 02-04-2005 07:45 AM

I missed Megadeth couple months ago...I was sad.

/any one still around?

LordDargon 02-04-2005 08:18 AM

I am here.

Riva's mallcore thread got closed. lolo

Bartender 02-04-2005 08:23 AM

At his request.

And yeah, I'm still here.

BoboTheRagingHobo 02-04-2005 08:24 AM

Oh yayz, Dargon is here...is that a good thing?

Bartender 02-04-2005 09:08 AM

If he can do a Forced Listening and some how get one of his choices to me..then yes, it's good. Or better, anyway.

I'm off for now, though. See you all later.

BoboTheRagingHobo 02-04-2005 09:08 AM

Later.

Naw, I don't want to do Joe's. I don't have Soulside Journey, but I do have an early Darkthrone demo, so I know what they sounded like then... and the other suggestions are crap. :)

Bartender 02-04-2005 10:42 AM

So. Hello, anyone?

munky_magik 02-04-2005 11:02 AM

Hello from me. I seemingly never leave.

Bartender 02-04-2005 11:04 AM

I would tell you to get a life, but the 10,000 posts difference between us makes me think twice :-/

You're a Hitchiker's Guide fan, aren't you?

munky_magik 02-04-2005 11:16 AM

Why yes, yes I am. Why do you ask?

Bartender 02-04-2005 11:18 AM

Nobody got my lovely reference to it, presumably because they're peons who haven't read it.
Well that's when you retreat to a safe distance and apologise. For maximum points, the apology should be delivered through a megaphone.
Maybe this means that we > them.

munky_magik 02-04-2005 11:29 AM

Brockian Ultra-Cricket, unless I'm mistaken?
The Guide has so many good quotes. My particular favourtie being:
Some Guy(he has the towel called Roosta, I think):I'm a friend
Zaphod: "anyone's friend in particular or are you just generally well disposed to people"

I think anyone that can pull out a Guide quote in a conversation deserves large ammounts of money.

Bartender 02-04-2005 11:32 AM

I concur. I regularly use variations on "This must be Thursday. I never could get the hang of Thursdays". Because my Thursdays are crap.

Anyway, I think I'm going to go in search of food, as I haven't yet eaten anything today. Wish me luck.

LordDargon 02-04-2005 11:42 AM

Close that "official unblack metal thread" you lazy slob of a mod.

"I am the main dish of the Day. May I interst you in parts of my body?"

/sounds wierd, but is totally relevant to conversation.
