The classic rock station seems to be failing me, after they played the Smashing Pumpkins and INXS on it.
Oh well Flower Power rules, Santana, Jimi Hendrix and Sly & the Family Stone. |
Flower Power doesn't work for me :(
|
There's a big difference between cars and music. A car runs at high performance or low performance whether or not you like it. Music is 100% subjective. You're really reaching here.
What about The Cars. :p |
Flower Power doesn't work for me :(
Really? Maybe just leave it for awhile, it wasn't working for me either at the start. |
I like a lot of Flower Power-era rock, Cream, Hendrix, some Zeppelin, The Who,
It's all good stuff |
Does anyone have a mp3 of Peter Green's Oh Well?
|
I must say I also really don't like John Mayer.
Agreed. He does have potential tho. |
Zeppelin, flower power...nah.
|
Zeppelin, flower power...nah.
Celebration Day, I find is quite Flower Power, I.E: Happy, upbeat, etc. |
Zeppelin ended the "Flower Power" era....:(
|
One song doesn't really do it. Plus having a reputation for being involved with black magic kind of ruins it for them. :p
Next chance I get I'm going to buy a Lenard Cohen and Parliament album. |
That's true,
A lot of great Flower Power bands are unknown, people like Love, who I really like the music. |
Zeppelin ended the "Flower Power" era....:(
Yeah but I agree that they fit into it. Another one is Misty Mountain Hop, it fits Flower Power. |
Led Zeppelin III had some songs that could be considered flower power. I've just recently gotten into 'flower power' type music, Badmoon could you recommend, me i good Grateful Dead album.
|
Does anyone get annoyed by hippie vegatarians? Yea, they suck.
/random |

From what I've heard of Yes (which is a few songs :upset: ) I think they're pretty good, if a little self indulgent  |
Badmoon could you recommend, me i good Grateful Dead album.
Do you have anything by them? If not get either Workingman's Dead or American Beuty. They'll be easy to find. |
Lenard Cohen=Proud Canadian
He's pretty good.
Yea, that's really rare. Not even The Band really were. |
Does anyone get annoyed by hippie vegatarians? Yea, they suck.
/random
I haven't met any. But I do really like meat. |

If I were you I'd start off with getting a live one. The 'Dead are O.K in the studio, but live they blow your mind, songs like "Dark Star" are classic examples of jamming and improvising on stage. |
Vegetarian > Vegan
Meat > all of them But I do find it wrong to go hunting on any occasion, unless it is impossible for you to afford food.
If I were you I'd start off with getting a live one. If you appreciate their studio efforts than the live material will be much more of a treat. |

Levon Helm=American (thats why) |

Don't give me that ****. Their self title is practically all based upon the concept of America, supposably.
And I'm not saying I hate hippies, because would you be surprised to hear I was one? No (I'm not really one), plus meat owns. |

That's true, but to be honest, I prefer a lot of their live stuff, my favourite studio track is The Golden Road.. Which is pretty short, I actually still regret getting a best of the 'Dead, they deserve a lot more really, |

What about the song Acadian Driftwood? Acadia -EAstern Canada |
Does anyone get annoyed by hippie vegatarians? Yea, they suck.
/random
i hate hippies who don't eat meat because all animals eat meat and you need it to live for the zinc or iron or whatever in it. i suck at science. :upset: |
O.K., there's a loose one in the bunch.
Old memory: The first Grateful Dead song I recall hearing was "I Know You Rider". |

Old Memory:I was lying on the floor listening to the radio, Legends Of Classic Rock came on. It was Neil Young. The Song "Down By The River" followed by "Heart of Gold" and alot of other songs. The next Day I bought EBKTIN and Harvest.
First Time I ever heard Neil. |
Well...first time you knew you heard Neil Young.
|
Well...first time you knew you heard Neil Young.
Yeah, I had probably heard him before. |
my new years resoultion was to not by any more greatest hit albums because after i do i always will anyways buy their LPs.
Yeah I learned that the hard way...I have so many ****e compilations that tell me nothing about the music in the inside cover. The first Grateful Dead song I heard was "Touch of Grey" and I liked it a lot because I was in my 80's phase. |

I remember watching Keith Moon's and Jimi Hendrix's "Behind the Music" specials back to back when I was like, 11 or 12. That's what first got me into rock.
|
i got a lot of compilations but most of them i have sold or given away because i ended up buy their LPs, one compiliation i have and will keep that i can think of right now is the Very Best of Cream.
