At least I won't freeze my arse off, hehe.
|
How cold does it get where you live?
|
In in the depths of winter it gets to 42.8F - 50F on average, with around 33% humidity. At the height of summer it'll be 95F - 105F with >80% humidity.
That's 6-10 and 35-40 in Celsius for all you normals out there. Or 279-283 and 308-313 in Kelvin for all you intellectuals out there. |
What is this Fahrenheit gayness
|
*converts*
omg, you wuss, that's not cold at all! |
I did it for our American friends as part of the new 12-step program I have embarked on:
Forgiving our Amerikkkan neighbours for their centuries of sin (They can't help it guys!) |
Yeah 42?
With the Windchill factor taken into account, it easily hits -15 here in the dead of winter. And, conversely, in the summer the humidity and smog make it hit 36+ pretty easily as well. GG EXTREME WEATHER PATTERNS |
Last year was the worst winter here in a good while. Wind chill got to -20F for like 2 weeks straight. Then in the summer it hit 110. Ack
****ing midwest. |
Tyler, I seriously doubt you guys get anywhere near the humidity of a tropical region, but I do understand that heavy photochemical smog will increase the heat of the area. Poor guys. :(
|
That's just far too difficult for me.
It's consistently annoyingly hot here. |
Hehe, I love annoyingly hot. :) It's only when the mercury gets over 40 that I'm quite upset.
|
Yeah 42?

GG EXTREME WEATHER PATTERNS
ugh you can't even complain about ontario winters until you've lived in saskatchewan. it hits -35 to -45 easily in the worst of winter, right now it's hitting around -10 to -15 and winter hasn't fully taken off yet. |
We get late 30's over half the year with an insane amount of humidity. Stupid everglades.
|
It's about 32 degrees here now.
We are too cheap to turn our heat on. |

I wasn't complaining about it, but the prairies also have a very different kind of cold. This is crisper. Poor guys. :(
It's suffocating in the summer, I usually stay indoors until the evening. |
in southern california it can be rainy one day then scorching hot the next. then it will be windy for a couple hours before going back to being really hot. the weather here sucks, except for right now with the cool air and little rain
|
I love how arbitrary Fahrenheit is.
"Hey guys, let's set the temperature that water freezes at to 32, then work backwards from there!" "Yeah! Woo!" |
"Hey guys let's make our winter during summer and our summer during winter!"
"Yeah! Woo!" "And while we're at it, let's make our toilets flush the opposite way!" |
It just seems so weird to me to hear "ugh it's 24 it's so freezing out".
|
ALRIGHT JASON WE GET IT
All HAIL AUSTRALIA edit: :P |

Jason, it's based off an algorithm. |
Did anyone see that American Idol contestant on a quiz show, like "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" or something, saying "I thought Europe was one big country?" when asked the question "Budapest is the capital of which European country".
While it's funny I do sympathise with her because a lot of people must misinterpret the actual status of the European Union, which does sort of act as a "super-country" in that many taxes, as well as the currency and visa restrictions, are universally applied throughout it. I just thought it was a funny anecdote of how people could dismiss someone as being American just because they're stupid (or stupid just because they're American?) but in reality they're simply acting on bad or incomplete information. And isn't that something that we all do? So I extend my hand to my brothers and sisters across the Atlantic and say "Chin up guys, someday you'll be as cultured as we are". :) |

It's what got her as far as she did. |
Dude, you're from Australia. Even the cultured Americans make fun of you, as do the Europeans.
|
The contestants on that show are all retarded anyway.
But Austin, Aussie's get to be cultured and masculine, they don't have to choose. |
"And while we're at it, let's make our toilets flush the opposite way!"
That's actually a myth, perpetuated by the evil creators of The Simpsons. The Coriolis effect isn't strong enough to alter the flow of gravity, though it is still inverse for our hemisphere when compared to yours. |
I've been to Australia twice and I hereby declare it true.

I don't really see a direction in toilet flushings, but maybe that's just me. It seems to come from all sides.

Them sep's as ugly as a hatful of arseholes and rude as a handful of poofs! |
Someone hook me up with some good music. I have a 6 hour plane ride at 10:00 tonight.
|
Hast du ein Stuhl mit extra Fußraum genommen?
|
Austin's too trailer trash for that.
|
Der Notausgang Reihe ist eine gute Option.
Austin, did you get that Mike Oldfield sampler I sent out? |
Doch sicher! Das letzte Mal, das ich geflogen habe, habe ich in diesem Reihe gesessen! Es war sehr schön.
Und jetzt muss ich gehe. |
Auf Wiedersehen, enger Freund.
|
Yeah I think I'll take German classes next semester and go to Germany next year.
:) |
I'm taking Spanish next semester, and this course about Chinese society. I wanted to take this Brazilian cinema course or this Music Technology one but they conflicted with my schedule >:-[
|
Dude guys, I'm first year. If it's not Der, Die, das, ist or und, you could be speaking any language to me.
Jason: No I did not, but I'm interested in anything. If anyone has anything: austinfitterer@yahoo.com Danke (yeah I know please to). |
Haha, please, Austin. I understood everything that was said and I've never had a German class in my life. =')
