I agree with that but my deal is that these guys were the real deal. The thing about their music is that it was 100% honest and reflected their life 100%. That is very hard to come by.

Flagjacket 11-06-2006 05:27 PM

Yeah, and who is to say it doesn't anymore? I'll pass that desicion after I hear the new album.

Angry Balled Fists! 11-06-2006 05:38 PM

i agree with both of you guys. i think its more of me hoping about what kevin is saying while i feel what eric feels more.

AndreTheHyena 11-06-2006 05:41 PM

As far as I'm concerned, they've turned into nothing but a bunch of Replacements wanna-be's...

...which is fine.

asdf 11-06-2006 06:26 PM

You guys seem to be more concerned with the politics of your music than the politics of your politicians.

AIRIC 11-06-2006 06:30 PM

I'm not really concerned with politicians yet.

Rise Me Up 11-06-2006 08:41 PM

Me neither, music has a greater place in my life than politics.

viva la revolucion 11-06-2006 08:44 PM

None of you who say that their music meant so much to you even bothered to read the lyrics on the entire searching for a former clarity album and the b sides that i know you all have downloaded (ie exaustion). It pretty much clearly states their intentions, if you hadn't been so caught up in your own politics you would have noticed.

I don't believe in politics.

Oh, I guess I've never done any of those things OR even bought one Against Me! album. Is is copy of SFAFC and RAR just stone chiseled replicas then?

SantaDuJuan 11-06-2006 11:53 PM
I agree with that but my deal is that these guys were the real deal. The thing about their music is that it was 100% honest and reflected their life 100%. That is very hard to come by.
They still do to some extent.
I mean I can still listen to Crime or RAR and be influenced or politically charged because I can somewhat sense their emotions.
"I want to change the world and have a fun time doing it"

And I'm sure the music now will express how they feel now, today.
Time changes everyone.

AndreTheHyena 11-08-2006 04:10 PM

Who wants to send me those SfaFC b-sides?

Henrik 11-09-2006 10:13 AM

I really really need those too.
Oh and Vida Vis even more.

AIRIC 11-09-2006 03:35 PM

I'm pretty sure it's the stolen demo.

Henrik 11-10-2006 01:00 PM

It is, but I don't have it.

Henrik 11-15-2006 11:34 AM

Does the song Untitled 2 exist in a studio version?
Does the song Untitled 2 exist in a studio version?
No. I really wish it did though. Easily in my top 5.

Flagjacket 11-15-2006 07:54 PM

I can't find an Against Me! line with enough lyrical meaning to me to get a tattoo of and when I find one I am going to get it on my chest.

I'm going to get Axl Rose tattoooed on my face.

I've been thinking of getting "There's a joy in all I can see" inked somewhere on me ever since I heard the SfaFC demos.

If you steal that, you're a faggot.

Johnny Quest. 11-16-2006 12:43 PM

Heh, i've been thinking about getting some lyrics tattooed on me.

Maybe 'I'm not ready to die just yet...' something like that.

AIRIC 11-16-2006 03:43 PM

Except you'll be regretting that when you're an 85 year old war veteran with PTSD, two arthritic knees and a fake hip.

Flagjacket 11-16-2006 05:09 PM

I am already a war veteran.

TakeWarning 11-17-2006 03:52 AM

I know a guy with alot of tattoos.

He said in the long run it wasn't worth getting them all.

AndreTheHyena 11-17-2006 05:29 AM

I have four. I regret the placement of one of them, but otherwise I'm either still totally into them or pleasantly indifferent.

SantaDuJuan 11-17-2006 07:55 PM

I'm thinking about getting Thug Life on my stomach.

Flagjacket 11-17-2006 10:31 PM
I'm thinking about getting Thug Life on my stomach.
Swagger jacker!

SantaDuJuan 11-17-2006 10:59 PM

I assumed Tupac references were still cool.

Flagjacket 11-18-2006 11:09 AM
I assumed Tupac references were still cool.
2Pac tributes are cool, but not swagger jacking.

I always thought that when Dubya said 'Rarely is the question asked; Is our children learning?' it meant something to me, as it showed that someone of such power and importance can also be so goddamn stupid.

AndreTheHyena 11-18-2006 06:37 PM
What you got?
The skull from Rancid's Life Won't Wait, the Minor Threat Out of Step sheep, a Sacred Heart, and the Lady of Guadalupe. The first two are just black and sketchy as hell, the Lady of Guadalupe is custom, colorful, expensive, and five hours worth of ink.

Lol George Bush can't talk right that is a valid criticism oft he way he runs a country!

TakeWarning 11-19-2006 02:57 AM

The Lady of Guadalupe sounds exciting.

Heh, yeah, any pics?

I thought of another cool tattoo, the No Idea stressface

If a world leader can't even speak his first language properly he should not be a world leader.

TakeWarning 11-20-2006 07:09 AM

Eric's right.

For me, if someone has difficulty with basic grammar, it reflects on their overall intelligence.
