Some good stuff in there. Thanks, man.

robo2448 12-18-2006 10:25 PM

My desktop is Bob Dylan. Screw the Who.

Just kidding, I used to have a Who desktop. I might have to steal one of those and go back. Those are pretty sweet. Right now I'm digging the Dylan desktop though.

Seafroggys 12-24-2006 02:05 AM

meh, I uploaded it to photobucket and it shrunk it down to 800, it was 1024.

And a crotch shot of Pete > most things in life.

Seafroggys 12-25-2006 05:33 PM

YES! I finally got Live at Leeds for Christmas. :D

One problem....I wanted the doulbe CD version with Tommy and everything. I don't know if I should just keep this one or maybe return it and pay the difference for the full version. But I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings by doing that.

Help here guys!

Also got the latest copy of Modern Drummer because the cover story was of Zack Starkey, it also has a little section on some of Keith Moon's drum parts.

Get the full version for sure. I always feel awkward if I return gifts, but as a Tommy fan you owe it to yourself to own the deluxe edition.

Seafroggys 12-25-2006 06:02 PM
are those albums or songs... sorry?
albums, and song (Quadrophenia is the third track on the album)

robo2448 12-25-2006 06:43 PM

I agree with lunch.

Thunder Fingers 12-25-2006 08:54 PM

Watching "live at royal albert hall"

Pretty good concert, exept for:
- Kelly Jones from Stereophonics should never be allowed near a mic again.
- Eddie Vedder sounds like a goat.
- I simply dont like Bryan Adams, the only one who can sing "Behind Blue Eyes" correct is Roger.
- Entwistle is a little low in the mix, lacks a little in the low department(i thought he did one rig for lows and one for high?) and all the modelling effects in his rig make him sound little syntetic..

BludgeonySteve 12-25-2006 08:58 PM

That made me giggle.

Thunder Fingers 12-26-2006 07:57 AM

where talking about the who based desktops..

i use this pic:

Lunch 12-26-2006 09:54 AM

Yea, I feel like all the guest appearences on Live at the Royal Albert Hall take away from the greatness of just the Who themselves, especially when they still had John.

chorbalan 12-26-2006 10:48 AM

I was looking up tabs for Boris the Spider, and on the side there was an add for those online instrument lessons that said "Learn to drum just like Pete Townshend in just 2 weeks"

Lunch 12-26-2006 11:01 AM

That's why it only takes two weeks :p

Thunder Fingers 12-26-2006 11:04 AM

well, he did drum on a few songs on the new album?

BludgeonySteve 12-26-2006 02:50 PM

That's very accurate advertising.

Ephemeral 12-27-2006 01:02 AM

Oh boy I haven't posted in here for awhile. I took a bit of a break from The Who, a la John a couple months ago. I've been dwelling on what he had said, about this being the possible end of the Who, and it's kind of been getting me down. I don't know.
