Record guitar tracks on computer, and have people from these forums do the other parts. Send them around, mix it up. I play bass .

Let's Chop Cats! 09-29-2004 10:31 PM

We tried that once.........never really worked out.

Plus I can't find my 1/4 to 1/8 converter piece and I don't have any decent recording programs. But if I did I would record my own stuff, then use like a drum machine.

listerine ice cream 09-29-2004 10:32 PM

Yeah, I could imagine.

Gotkookie 09-29-2004 10:37 PM

Hrrrm Im thinking about doing a band profile for Converge, I heard they were breaking up. They've been around nearly fifteen years.

40 oz 2 freedom 09-29-2004 10:43 PM

I doubt they would break up since they just launched a huge tour, and released a new album, on a bigger label, that will surely gain them popularity.

Let's Chop Cats! 09-29-2004 10:43 PM

I doubt it. They just released an album and they just started a nation wide tour.

40 oz 2 freedom 09-29-2004 10:44 PM

Woah.

Gotkookie 09-29-2004 10:44 PM

I heard from inside that they possibly might break up, since they've been together so long.

Gotkookie 09-29-2004 11:05 PM

Anyone know how the scene is in Orlando Florida, I possibly may be moving there, my friend might also be heading there too.

I mean after they finish the tour.

I don't know about Orlando specifically, but Florida has a pretty good scene. A lot of the bands from there suck though... but there's also a lot of really good bands from Florida, so I don't really know where I'm going with this. I hate Florida with a fiery passion, but I won't get into that because that will go on for a very long time. xdeadtomorrowx is from Florida...
Someone should cover Dag Nasty, but in a more hardcore style. Man...I have all these awesome ideas but no band to back it up.
Terror covers "what can I say." The track was up on their website a few months ago... I don't know if it's still there.

EDIT: we should start an internet band.

I'm from Florida, too, and I hate it.

The Autumn Offering just got signed and released their first full length, but Zeuss and Jamey Jasta managed to ruin the entire thing. I know that sounds strange, but I have their demo and it sounds better than the record. Shai Halud is from around here, too.

Also, my band will soon be famous. Maybe.

Poison the Well is from Florida.
I heard from inside that they possibly might break up, since they've been together so long.
Speaking of Converge, I was listening to one of their really early LPs or CDs and it sounded completely different. The music, the vocals, it was just weird. What's up with that.

Awesome, I need to find that.

We tried that once, never worked out. If I can ever find my converter for my guitar cable and I downlaoded some software I'd be up for it. but untill I can find it.....

Well get the fuck out of this thread :)

listerine ice cream 09-30-2004 01:14 PM

^^^ He said it.

listerine ice cream 09-30-2004 01:20 PM

I remember someone saying that Wes Eisold is going to be singing for another band. I'm too lazy to dig it up though. What band is it?

A-Life-Less-Plagued 09-30-2004 01:36 PM

Someone said he would sing for Daughters, but that = untrue.

listerine ice cream 09-30-2004 01:38 PM

HA! Yeah, un-true indeed. Daughters isn't what they said though...

cbmartinez 09-30-2004 02:24 PM

Wes sings for the band Some Girls I believe.

syrUsbilt 09-30-2004 02:29 PM
Wes sings for the band Some Girls I believe.
Was it Caring and Killing?

cbmartinez 09-30-2004 04:51 PM

I don't know, it was weird. It was definitely not Jake Bannon singing (I think).

40 oz 2 freedom 09-30-2004 04:51 PM

It's probably Caring is Killing, he sounds just different.

SubtleDagger 09-30-2004 05:02 PM

I like Caring And Killing, but it's not typical Converge.

A-Life-Less-Plagued 09-30-2004 06:34 PM
Wes sings for the band Some Girls I believe.
No kidding!

cbmartinez 09-30-2004 07:31 PM

I don't get it.

listerine ice cream 09-30-2004 07:31 PM

I knew that...

cbmartinez 09-30-2004 07:34 PM

Then why were you asking?

listerine ice cream 09-30-2004 07:34 PM

Well, someone said that Wes was in another band, other than Some Girls.

cbmartinez 09-30-2004 07:35 PM

Well, say, "what band does Wes sing in, besides Some Girls?"

listerine ice cream 09-30-2004 07:36 PM

Yeah, I suppose... I was in school though, I wasn't thinking.

Hahaha, The Autumn Offering's bassist IMd me after I was defending them on Lambgoat. Interesting guy. After a "brb gotta get vicodin", he tried to sell me their CD and sent me their flyer. I told him I'd pass it out at shows but I haven't done so. He can't type very well at all.
I remember someone saying that Wes Eisold is going to be singing for another band. I'm too lazy to dig it up though. What band is it?
Haha, I said he was going to be singing for With Dead Hands Rising, and they would be changing their name to With One Hand Rising. (Wes only has one hand)
