Look i never had anything against him i used to like reading his posts and everything but then somehow he gained this vendetta against me, i dont usually respond but that one was uncalled for.

I have problems, not gradewise though. I have no motivation, that's my problem. In all honesty, if I made an effort in school I'd be a straight A student. But the thing is, I HATE waking up at 6:30 in the morning, and then sitting in a metal desk all day. All the rooms are the same, it's eternal boredom. I sleep all day in class. And then well, I don't really care about what I'm being taught. I know what I want to do with my life now but I can't do anything about it. I have to wait it out, and sweat college loans and trying to figure out what college I'm going to while trying to keep my chin above the water in school. Instead I'm a straight B- student. I don't do homework, but I ace all my tests and all my finals. I walked into finals last year and got an A- or better on every test without studying. All I ever hear is that I'm wasted potential. Maybe I am, but I've got the power and I can do whatever I want with it. My dreams are all bigger than Harvard or the glory of being at the top of my class. Bigger than materialism. People just don't get it, and that's what annoys me. I don't bend over for anyone or do things I don't believe in. So I get it all the time, about me being a no good slacker. But I think that in the end, all school does is break you in to be some lousy conformist with nothing to live for but 15 minutes of meaningless existence, so take all that you can, materialism is the way! That's my rant anyway.

I just came out of that type of situation. I live with my mom, single parent family and she had great job, but lost it because of 9-11. So I mean, she had to career change because of that BS. Took until a month ago to get a *good* job, good thing unemployment offers additional support to those who lost their job because of 9-11.

You can say I have school problems. I've been told I'm extreamly smart and stuff, but I'm lazy, well not really lazy, really judgemental of my teachers, if they piss me off enough I'll just refuse to do the work, and the case with last year's science, make the teacher's life a living hell. I dwell on the pointlessness of high school, where you learn barley anything, and most of the stuff you do is just busy work. I actually did this semester which surprised me, first semester of high school without a C, that's saying something from a guy who got straight As in middle school. Maybe it's just lack of motivation, similar to what JmE was talking about.

Wow, no offense to you guys, but I thought my money situation was pretty bad, nothing compared to that.
