wow, the shift in grammar that this thread has taken is shocking

aria, have you ever spelled a whole sentense correctly on these forums?

so it's 7am where I'm at. I haven't slept since yesterday, I just walked god knows how many miles uphill in 3 hours. I have school tommorrow and need to get up at 6.30am(its my music day so no big deal right). In the past 7 hours I have commited more illegal acts than I might possibily begin to explain in a single post. I'm feeling pretty good. lol. How about the rest of you guys?

kevbud187 01-02-2006 08:50 AM

good lord is it post 700 already?

moaner 01-02-2006 12:14 PM
runescape is awesome. I got banned though. lol. I had like a lvl 76 or something.
thats a lot of hours playing.

too many.

Trigger_003 01-02-2006 02:24 PM

Mmm, same with me. I'm glad that stage of my life is well and truly over.
Then again, I was playing the game over quite a few years mainly to use its chat service before I was allowed msn. It's not like I was a hardcore geek on it who spent hours trying to get up to the next level.

Sure Ben has, Kev. I've seen many
no.
:p. Nah, Ben's great. He's decided to type like that for some reason. He's more than capable of typing them out in full... he just... doesn't.

How is everyone on this fine, overcast morning upon which I once again failed to sleep in on?

Tornado Warning Sirens woke me up at about 5 am local time. It was a fast moving storm so it was gone within 30 minutes. Went back to sleep and woke up at noon! :thumb: Pretty good so far. Now its time for some college football.

Trigger_003 01-02-2006 03:17 PM

Jee, crazy stuff.
You make it sound like a tornado is nothing

You gotta play some Aussie footy. Can't beat it.

Aes820 01-02-2006 03:42 PM

I'm back to work today. Huzzah!

I got banned because I kept messing up their server whenever I would edit the firewall passcodes. lol. hence lvl 76. I didn't want to go too high or else they would be like "wtf? this guy has been playing for 2months and he is like lvl 9807468698." This is on the original runescape btw. I got over it when Runescape2 came out. :)

Trigger_003 01-03-2006 12:37 AM

lol i got over it just before rs2.

My mate's brother and his friends play it from when they wake up until about 3am. Their rooms stink, and he doesn't come out except to grab some food (even then he'll sometimes order my mate to go and get it for him from his room...
Exceptionally sad.

Yeah, I didn't have any power today so I spent it studying and in the pool. Good times :).

For me, the latter would sound like more good times than the former.

Sup?

Trigger_003 01-03-2006 02:23 AM

Haha that's what I meant, Chris, trust me.

G'day Gav. I'm freezing because I'm standing around in damp clothes that I couldn't be stuffed getting changed out of after going for a swim. You?

blakey971 01-04-2006 03:01 PM

Aes- I have a question. I use a Zoom MRS1608CD and a Mesa Boogie Tremoverb. Whenever I go through the amp and directly into the Zoom, the sound is soft and distorted. I'm going through the Slave Out. Just wondering if you had any suggestions.

Aes820 01-04-2006 03:34 PM

So, you're recording off the slave out of the Tremoverb right?

That output sits right next to the speaker output (it's attenuated) and it's level would be controled via the amps main volume dial.
So, while you've got the amps volume down low then the signal strength at this output will also be low.
There should be no real harm in using it as you are now, although the real intended use for that output would be for running the amp into additonal amps, as a part of a bigger rig.
May I suggest you try to record off the line output on the amp. You may have better results. But you may also wish to try micing the amp up.

Diatonic Dissonance™ 01-04-2006 06:41 PM

:jealous:

My membership's free anyway!

(Not for my mum :shift: )

Trigger_003 01-04-2006 06:50 PM

Lol, nice.

Oh yeah, I forgot! Last night we went to this thing at the Queen Vic market - there were loads of exotic food/clothing/etc stalls, live bands, etc (we caught up with a good one and they gave us some good advice :)) and there was this one place in the middle of the market that we could hear drumming from, so we headed through the masses of people in that direction.

African style stall full of imported djembes, pan flutes etc.
Em & I = "Hell yeah!" and join in with a jam with the guys who were selling the drums. We went for ages! It was awesome.
Then my dad snuck back later and ( :GRIN!: ) bought one.

Check it out:

Aes820 01-04-2006 07:10 PM

Very neat Trea.

Trigger_003 01-04-2006 07:28 PM

Yeah they do cost a bit, but they sound great!
I've got a set of bongos and my mate has a djembe... I'm dreaming of a summer percussion jam on the beach at night.

I love it :D

Sup everyone?

blakey971 01-05-2006 03:03 AM

Aes- I don't see just a Line Out. Is it possible that the Tremoverb doesn't have one?

Aes820 01-05-2006 03:32 AM
Aes- I don't see just a Line Out. Is it possible that the Tremoverb doesn't have one?
It'll probably be labeled as Recording Out.
Same thing.

Trigger_003 01-07-2006 04:17 PM

Hey Gav :)
The last couple of days have been mad crazy. As I said in Aussie/Guitar, yesterday I played with a band from Kyoto in Federation Square (with the Aussie Youth Band). So yeah, we had rehearsals for that in the South Melb. Town Hall which was sweet. We got a pretty big crowd and apparently it was advertised on ABC radio or something.

Their (the people from Kyoto) playing was awesome.
Their English wasn't.
They knew about three questions and other than that the "coversations" were the chicks from Kyoto trying to work out (with scatterings of attempts at words and sign language) if the guys I was hanging out with were single and whether Derek and I were going out.
And they either wouldn't take no for an answer or got even more interested in him lol.
Didn't really see too much of the guys... they seemed really shy or something.

All the guys in our band would occassionally emerge from a group of chicks, laughing and making comments like "I'm in!"
But yeah, it was an interesting experience.

What's been happening down your end?
