As do I.

br3ad_man 11-19-2004 12:38 AM
I had a great day yesterday, apart from one small detail which made me quite angry. I'll post an explanation later.
So yeah, I was talking to one of my (female) friends yesterday. Then this random dude came up to her and starting saying some really dirty stuff to her. I hate guys who have no respect for girls. :upset:

Tomahawk 11-19-2004 12:42 AM

I was attacked by birds today.

You should have called him a stupid cunt. That would shut 'im up.

br3ad_man 11-19-2004 12:53 AM

I'm not like that :(

Bartender 11-19-2004 12:54 AM

Then physical violence would appear to be the only way to go.

br3ad_man 11-19-2004 12:58 AM

I'm not like that either. Although at the time I would have enjoyed nothing more than punching him in the face.

Video please.
I just had to take those pics down on request from my girlfriend.

And Iai, "Sorry, the page you requested was not found". The pictures didn't even work for me.

Iai 11-19-2004 07:20 AM

Whereas yesterday seemed to have been National Racially Abuse White People Day, today is Dress Like White Trash day. Seriously, there are so many sluts in college today it's unreal.

That's basically been my day so far. It is only 13.15, mind.
FLAMING LIPS ON CONAN TONIGHT!
I just saw that, it was very cool.

Bartender 11-19-2004 07:25 AM

What did they play/do?

Tomahawk 11-19-2004 07:30 AM

They played their song from the Spongebob soundtrack. The song isn't anything special... but they were dressed in bright pink, and Wayne was walking around inside a giant bubble.

Fuck I wish I'd seen them live when I had the chance. :upset:

Shaan 11-19-2004 07:31 AM

What is the song name?

Shaan 11-19-2004 07:32 AM

I can't believe you had a chance to see them live and why did you not go to see them?

Tomahawk 11-19-2004 07:38 AM

Because I suck. I was at a festival they were at in January, but I wasn't into the Flips back then... so I saw Metallica instead of them. Yeah.

And their Spongebob song is called Spongebob & Patrick Confront The Psychic Wall Of Energy.

Iai 11-19-2004 08:27 AM

I just got about 400 rep points for slagging off The Libertines.

Tapeworm 11-19-2004 08:57 AM

anyways, I just finished a 5 hour shift at midnight, and i'm working 8 hours till midnight tomorrow night. On a friday and saturday night!!!!

Bad times, bad times.

How's everybody else going?

talk show host 11-19-2004 09:23 AM

I listened to the Flaming Lips' 'Yoshimi...' last night and decided I quite like it.

I've got 2 2500 word essays to do in the next few days and I really don't want to do them. :(

Tapeworm 11-19-2004 09:57 AM

Woah, that sucks. Just make em up on the spot if they are make-up-on-the-spotable.

I will hopefully still get my chance to see that Flips performance. One of the best live bands I've seen.

Master Arkam Kannon 11-19-2004 10:18 AM

One of the best live experiences ive ever seen, they dont just put on a show, they give you an experience you'll never forget. No matter if you like the music that much or not, they'll win you over just by their sheer ability to get you into their mindset.

Tapeworm 11-19-2004 10:20 AM

That is the perfect description. One of the happiest hours of my life. I couldn't quit smiling. Even when a stupid Metallica fan kicked my big balloon out of my hands.

Iai 11-19-2004 10:59 AM

I just joined that Audioscrobbler thing. Wasn't there an MX Alt/Indie room, or something?

Bartender 11-19-2004 11:17 AM

So..how many people who nominated George Thorogood and the Destroyers - Bad to the Bone had actually heard it?

Eternal thanks (and reps) to whoever did, by the way.

Iai 11-19-2004 11:18 AM

I nominated it, then downloaded it, and realised I'd known what song it was all along.

Iai 11-19-2004 11:45 AM

I can gaurantee you've heard it before. It's just one of those songs.

Think, 'b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-bad.....Bad to the bone.....'

Wanker 11-19-2004 11:48 AM

Yeah, thats the one. I think.

Bartender 11-19-2004 11:48 AM
I've never heard of it, but decided to make it one of my final 10 picks. :D

What does it actually sound like?
Imagine pure awesome, condensed into a song with an asskicking riff and cool, macho lyrics. And there you have Bad to the Bone, and a suitable winner of the current R&M polling.

And yeah, you will have heard it before.

Iai 11-19-2004 11:53 AM
Yeah, thats the one. I think.
Stop posting in here, I want to overtake you.
