How do you think it compares to the others?

kick the chair is one of the most bad ass songs ever

MAthiAS 03-02-2005 03:50 PM

Kick the Chair is great, and it was just plain amazing live. Same with Back in the Day and The Scorpion.

btoto 03-02-2005 04:22 PM
I think that the remastered version is better. I really like the remastered version of "The Conjuring.
Some songs sound very good and some bad.

I didn't like the version of Peace Sells. The original IMO sounds better.

But man, Black Friday and My Last Words sound fantastic. So much better than the originals. And you can hear Gar very good. His bass pedals, ride, crash everything is so great. The best thing about this remastered version is Gar's drumming. God, now I can hear how sick he played ! :thumb:

And about TSHF, I downloaded most of the songs from internet before buying it. And of those I haven't heard Shadow of Deth and Blackmail The Universe are fantastic !

What else can I say about this album??? Chris still sounds like Chris and that makes him the best 'deth lead guitarist for me.

Now I worship him even more !

btoto 03-02-2005 04:54 PM

You listened to Cacophony (sp)???

Is it good???

shawnson 03-02-2005 04:55 PM

any word on whether megadeth has signed on to ozzfest 2005?

btoto 03-02-2005 05:07 PM

Shawnson
----------

I don't know. Check out Blabbermouth. They always have news about Megadeth.

Sausage_Wielder 03-02-2005 07:50 PM

Does anyone know what Megadeth is planning to do once they finish their Australian and non-U.S. touring. I missed the concert in St. Louis because i lacked the funds to go down there a rent a hotel room and I'm hoping they come back maybe do a few shows

fat chance though considering everyone is saying this is the last tour

Yes, Kick the Chair is very good live. I thought it was one of the highlighs when I saw them. All the songs were excedingly good though.

Po0sH 03-02-2005 08:33 PM

I loved Hangar 18 as one of the most live

Chu 03-02-2005 09:34 PM

Megadeth is good.

Arise II 03-03-2005 05:04 AM
You listened to Cacophony (sp)???

Its better :thumb:

I have the first album on Cd and the second on mp3, adn they're both awesome. And unlike Yngwie's albums, you don't have to skip all the songs with lyrics on them :D

ThrashMaster27 03-03-2005 05:51 AM

Cacophony are amazing. I suppose you can't expect anything more out of them two. I'm really shocked that Jason Becker was only 18 when Speed Metal Symphony came out though....or maybe he was younger, I forget. Anyway, any Megadeth fan should grab a few of Marty's solo albums. Especially Dragons Kiss! It's a fantastic album.

I think he was 17... The bastard ;)

Josh 03-03-2005 06:18 AM

apparently megadeth's gig at download 2005 will be their last ever UK gig....

btoto 03-03-2005 09:14 AM
I have listened to bits of Cacophony songs, and its pretty good. Its almost bound to be good what with Marty and Jason Becker playing together. If you want to hear some Cacophony go here:http://www.jasonbecker.com/
check out sound clips
Cool, thanks a lot. They indeed sound very good. Sometimes remind me of Yngwie. Although two lead guitars is even more exciting.

BTW, how did you all find Chris' work on TSHF???

I thing it's fantstic. Even his tone remained the same.

Lord Abortion 03-03-2005 04:16 PM
Congrats on getting stars Lord A. :thumb:
your rep got me them
the scorpion live was amazing

Arise II 03-03-2005 04:19 PM

What are those stars anyway?

munky_magik 03-03-2005 04:22 PM

Stars are from rep.

Arise II 03-03-2005 04:54 PM

Yeah, that part I've already figured out, but how many points do they "represent"

munky_magik 03-03-2005 05:16 PM

1,000 rep + 1,000 posts + been a member for 90 days = 3 stars
1,000 rep + 1,500 posts + been a member for 90 days = 4 stars
Mod/admin = 5 stars

In Megadeth news, I'm starting to like SFSGSW a lot more. Set the World Afire is a sweet song.

Arise II 03-03-2005 05:41 PM
Set the World Afire is Deth's best song.
Fix'd :thumb:

Freezing Moon 03-03-2005 06:44 PM
Just recently I started listening to SFSGSW again, and I really like it, I dont know why I stopped listening to it.
Same story here. I just kind of forgot about it I guess.

Set the World Afire is Deth's best song.
Fix'd :thumb:
I'd have to disagree, but it is a good song.

bigpossum93 03-03-2005 08:36 PM

ThrashMaster27 03-03-2005 08:41 PM

So Far, So Good....So What? Good song aswell.

bigpossum93 03-03-2005 08:45 PM
So Far, So Good....So What? Good song aswell.[/QUOTE

thankx, the only megadeth CD i dont have!!
is it true kerry king used to be in megadeth?

ThrashMaster27 03-03-2005 08:48 PM

Yeah, he was in Megadeth. Never recorded anything with them, but toured in the early days. Think it was 1984, for a few shows.
