So, who's better Warren or Derek?

Once again you are absolutely right. Talking about teh Allman brothers is good.

I'd say warren. Just for shear quality of every note he plays. Some guys do solos just for the sake of doing solos but with warren hanes he feels the musics and really gets into it. He does better slow songs than faster ones. Sort of like Clapton exept not as good as clapton. I'm not saying derek isn;t that way but Hanes is better.

I also think Warren is better. Though I do find him a bit choppy, and Derek a bit more smooth, it's irrelevant. Because look at Neil Young, or listen to "Woodstock". He can not be playing anymore jagged and choppy, but Neil is stills a fabulous guitarist. And so is Warren, as is Derek :).

Speaking of The Allman Brothers, as we have been doing. I know Trucks is like 24, but he looks like he's a full grown 17 year old. I just thought that was weird, and figured I'd share it.

I was also going to put the almon's guitarists in that order. On acount of that's how it should go. Keeping in mind that Derk is still very good.

I guess he does look a bit youngish. People grow at different rates. Being 24 years old and playing for Greg Allman... that's unreal, the guy must be dancing on air (like happy and such). If greg allman asks you to play guitar for his band (or him solo) you do it! Same with Bob Dylan and to a lesser extent Ozzy.

Woodstock is an amazing song :) Crosby stills nash and young do a good job with it even if they didn't write it.

um... some people were mentioning van halen earlier. i think that must have been a mistake because last time i checked van halen sucked a sweaty browneye.

There's always that one bad thought when thinking about CSNY. You know, therer heaviest song is a cover from Joni Mitchell :p . It doesn't matter to me, but perhaps hard rock fans.

Well, actually I was practicing my tapping (it's getting good ;), kinda ) and finger picking (I'm a banjo player, that's my style) while I decided to jump on the bed, while doing it I decided to jump off the bed. I did and almost landed on my cat :p , but none the less I was doing the Badmoon Bluegrass Shred* Breakdown while jumping off the bed. No splits though.
