A really close friend of mine does guitars and vocals for this band, they're pretty fucking good if anyone wants to check them out. Kinda Amon Amarth/newer Kataklysm-ish.

How are things moving forward with the Minenwerfer split and Nihilistischen?

The split is recorded, but we're still working on getting the money to release it. Nihilistichen is about half way done. I'm hoping to have it finished up by the end of Summer.

We are going to be recording an EP tape release sometime next month, I may put out the songs on CD too. Either way, I'll probably put them up for download. That will be 3 songs. It will probably be out before the split, since it won't cost me anything.

My grind band should be releasing something around that time too.

I'm also working on a doom project, but it's in very very early stages.

Cool. I'll be looking forward to it.

on rym my rating scale is downtuned so 2/5=6/10 and 1/5 means like a 4.5-5/10 or somewhere around there. If I don't like it's below average it gets a 0.5, so think of it like that.

I started using a better drum program for the next release I'm working on, but a friend of mine offered to play the drums, and I know a place to record them. He's a pretty good metal drummer, and I think he can drum the stuff I've laid down. Would be cool if he also brings in some of his own ideas.

I've never actually mixed a real drum recording, though. Hope I can manage find the drum sound that I envision for the record.
