Mixed Signals Rocks 04-11-2007 12:04 AM

Hey, does anyone know of any independent pop-punk labels that are decent, we would have a chance at getting signed to, and will open doors for us in the future?
It isn't horrible quality. I really like the sound. Kind of reminds me of Leftover Crack. Nice vocals. There were some points the guitars kind of overpowered the vocals (on the second song) but overall really good job. 8/10 imo, nothing wrong with it. :)

Maybe you should consider changing the band name lol.
Thanks man, appreciate it. The recordings were made by placing a single mic in the center of the practice space, so hence the quality. First recordings with full line-up, been playing together since january, never played a gig.. :(

welll... the eternal problem, the band name... i'll just say whatever, i don't care bout it anymore...

Mixed Signals Rocks 04-11-2007 12:54 PM

Mixed Signals! Pop-punk!

Just a Bio you dont have to read unless interested!

Jeremy (Guitar/songwriter extrordinare) and Joey (Old bass player/contributing with lyrics) wrote some songs together and decided to ask friend Rudy (Mediocore drummer/horrible) to play drums with them in late December of 2003. They wrote 6 solid songs and played there first show in late January. The band progressed to a solid set with good songs, high energy live performances, and a new bass player Luke (Very good metal bass/guitar). After playing for some time with Luke things did not work out. The band moved on, and tried out other bassists. They then brought in Easton, but after a while it became clear that Easton did not want to put the effort in to bieng a serious band the band gladly parted ways with him. Which brings along newcomer Tommy, who is the brother of first player Joey. Tommy an excellent bassist and has already contributed more then most bass players did when he stepped onboard. Be sure to support some great unsigned talent. Playing big shows and small ones every one is different and just as fun, we are definatly a band to see. Look for us to play your local venue, school, or house party as we come up with better songs and better times. The demo titled "Walking The Plank" is really no longer around but if you ask member of the band they might be able to find one for you. A new EP which is titled "Going Nowhere" is now available online, or in there local towns record shop. Some songs are on the page right now. come support the only band out there that is still and always will be fast fun music!

B 04-11-2007 02:44 PM

it doesnt matter if youre pop punk

We're no way back, Scottish pop-punk. It's nothing fancy but we think its fun, so you probably should at least click the link?

We're upbeat music for upbeat people, some new material should be up soon if the local studio will let us in again...

Rebuke - Punk/pop-punk/melodic hardcore from Sweden, attempting to sound kinda like A Wilhelm Scream-lite, or a more agit Lagwagon or something. Mostly political lyrics, no love lyrics, but I always try to put extra effort into writing intelligent lyrics.

Me predicts that pseudo artistic people who pretend to like music that's different just because it's different will love you.

Mainly something I've done because of the desire of wanting to play music but not having a capable singer.

Alright, people

http://www.myspace.com/ourfangsourpistols

We are Our Fangs, Our Pistols from Portland, Oregon.
We're a post-hardcore band that's been running pretty strongly since September of '06. So far, in 2007 alone, we've had over a dozen shows. Our original sound was in the style of Atreyu and From First To Last, but as of lately, the sound has been moving closer to Chiodos and The Devil Wears Prada. We just picked up a new keyboardist and will be incorporating him into our work very very soon. We have recently won two different battles, and plan on continuing to do so.
I personally think that our best songs that we have up are Gorillas On Fire and What You Said

B 06-28-2007 05:00 PM

i like it

sounds the same as a shitload of other bands though but meh

5am 07-16-2007 05:40 AM

www.myspace.com/bihn22

not even sure what songs are on there anymore, but we are in the process of recording all of our songs before our drummer leaves, so it should be updated pretty soon.

hotcod32 08-06-2007 08:16 PM

I think we are here in somewhere already but with a dead link and old name now

http://www.myspace.com/boymeetsgirlonline

We lost out drummer, got a new one and came back with a new name. I hated the old one really. But ya we are a bit different again, 'bad dream' and 'cry baby' are really where we are at with our sound at the moment. Both really good songs i think, been told its some of the best UK poppunk about at the moment which is a huge complement given there's some amazing bands around at the moment.

Anyways, go check us out if you have some free time... we anit that bad, i promise.

http://www.myspace.com/finaloutcome

those are the two bands im in, the first one is pretty much a heavier side of pop/punk (I sing :smash:) and the second is..well almost the same but we have a lot of heavier stuff we play, anyhoo, enjoy.

B 08-13-2007 12:17 AM

dave your bands are good

even though ive said it tons of time :]

DepthsOfDreams555 08-13-2007 09:53 AM

Dave both your bands are excellent man. Final Outcome was really impressive the guy thats singing reminds me a lot of Anthony Raneri from Bayside, their voices are similar.

Eliminator 08-13-2007 04:42 PM

i like final outcome more

Fish 08-13-2007 05:16 PM
Dave both your bands are excellent man. Final Outcome was really impressive the guy thats singing reminds me a lot of Anthony Raneri from Bayside, their voices are similar.
yeah, bayside is his favorite band :smash:

Final outcome doesnt really play anymore though, unless we can find a bass player who is comitted enough. And yeah, final outcome is probably better because we've been playing for way longer, and the singer has had vocal training, where in defend anything, I just kinda try and sing..

DepthsOfDreams555 08-13-2007 09:37 PM

You got a solid voice man.

my two bands. One's piano based pop. Others crazy garage alternative(simple, lo-fi recorded energetic rock n roll).

TheLongGoodbye 08-17-2007 12:50 PM

Here is a great band from the Bay Area in CA. Basically its pop-punk from the glory days of Drive Thru Records.

Check it out...

real link

ps theyre decent the singers voice is annoying at times

Stanston187 08-17-2007 07:24 PM

This is a Pop-Punk section right? What's with all this other shit? Garage Alternative? Bayside?

That's a little off the mark. Bayside is a wannabe Alkaline Trio, that's all. I've seen them live and they were very unimpressive.

Now, that Round Three Fight is POP PUNK.

Y'all need to learn already, ****.

DepthsOfDreams555 08-17-2007 08:19 PM

Ya good call on that one.

Mute Print 08-18-2007 12:04 AM

Hahaha, that idiot is apparently in Round Three Fight too, seeing as he deleted his post promoting that band as well.

Mute Print 12-02-2007 12:51 PM

I can definitely hear the Saves The Day influence.

Overall, it sounds like you guys are off to a good start.
