Thank you very much.

LF96 09-10-2005 04:53 AM
Yeah, but both albums as a whole are just lackluster and blah...and the only songs that stick off of either are "Web" and "The Seed 2.0"
"Star", "Water" and "Boom!" are not to be forgotten imo.
I think Do You Want More?!!!??!, Illadelph Halflife and Things Fall Apart are all classic tho.

Glass Onion 09-10-2005 06:14 AM

Hey don't mean to hijack your discussion here but I need help. I've started listening to abit of hip-hop recently and I remember this rap vid i saw awhile ago. I think it was by a guy called K-os and he was walking around and had alot of people wearing masks which I thought resembled Crabs in some way or another. It had a kind've swingy Jazzy feal to it. Anyone know what track I'm talking about?

EDIT: Okies just found the album only, The song was Crabbucket. So yeh....I'm pretty much new to this whole Rap and Hip-hop thing. Recomend me some that isn't Gangsta rap. Thank you :thumb:

Does anyone like Haiku D'Etat? I think if anyone's heard Busdriver and hasn't heard these guys they should! They mix it all up just like Busdriver does, their "coup de theatre" album's great.

there's a song!

ATM 09-10-2005 10:09 AM

Any Edan fans?

Bartender 09-10-2005 10:22 AM

I have a couple of songs by Edan, that I got from you, I think. They're good, if I remember correctly, but they're on my other (University) computer, so I haven't been listening to them much for a long while now.

ATM 09-10-2005 10:29 AM

I was just sent a DJ Qbert album. This is seriously amazing.

I saw him live he is amazing fast, I just can't get into DJs though. I never tried and don't know a lot about it but it just seems like it doesn't involve any talent I could be and probably am wrong. Also does anybody know why he just uses one turntable instead of two?

Kayetan 09-10-2005 04:58 PM

Anybody else like Common? "Be" is really good, imo.

left 09-10-2005 05:04 PM

i always liked 7L&Esoteric among many other rap artists.

oh, and if you think that Busta Rhymes or Twista are the fastest mc's in the hip hop world, you should ask me to send you a song from a Romanian band, called R.A.C.L.A (in aproximative translation that means coffin) I tell you guys, i couldnt believe what i was hearing while playing the song. Absolutley amazing. Then i saw them live play it and i was stunned ever since.

yahoo id if anybody is interested : missanntrophe (just leave a message that you are from this forum so i know)

Kayetan 09-10-2005 05:06 PM

Bus Driver is pretty fast or something

enjoimx 09-10-2005 08:14 PM

The Persian 09-10-2005 08:28 PM

Tech N9ne anyone?

MattMan999 09-10-2005 10:50 PM

Does anyone here like 50 cent or Eminem?

Leftover Jello 09-10-2005 11:29 PM
Anybody else like Common? "Be" is really good, imo.
I saw Common about a week ago, and he was pretty cool. I liked it when he got people break dancing on the stage, and then he was breaking himself. He also got Talib Kweli (who wasn't as good by himself) to come rap with him. I don't have any of his albums, but I might pick one up sometime. I guess I might try and get "Be" if you say it is good.

Glitterati 09-11-2005 09:48 AM
Does anyone here like 50 cent or Eminem?
1. No.
2. I used to, but not anymore.
Does anyone here like 50 cent or Eminem?
I despise 50 cent. His lyrics are completely worthless and the musical parts of his songs are shit aswell. And Eminem is just annoying and not too great.

I'd upload it YSI.com for you, but that's kind of illegal in MX now.

Get Resurrection, it's way better than Be. Both the production and the lyrics are better on that album, in particular the production. :)

Robert Crumb 09-11-2005 01:11 PM

Any Zion-I fans out there? Wanna recommend me an album?

Iai 09-11-2005 04:02 PM

I think the production on Resurrection almost ruins what should have been a stone cold classic, personally.
Any Zion-I fans out there? Wanna recommend me an album?
I'm a Zion-I fan, but don't have any albums.

Delay Pedal Boy 09-11-2005 05:09 PM

Deltron 3030 is highly recommended.

Hmm, to each his own I guess, but to me that production is just lovely, while the production on let's say Go! and Testify just make me fall asleep.

As for Zion-I, I only heard True & Livin (their newest) and it's very good, recommended. I've also heard some people say it's their best, so I suggest you'd check it out.

Kurtz 09-13-2005 09:30 PM

A local rap station here played Tupac literally all day

Anybody else remember that it was his anniversary?

Cool, I'll give it a shot. Heard some of his stuff before, don't think I really gave his stuff a proper chance.

New Blackalicious in 4 days!!!!

gaslight 09-24-2005 05:16 AM

Does anyone know if there will be a new Jehst release anytime soon?

Deconstruction 09-24-2005 07:26 PM

Does anybody have the Tupac: Resurrection Soundtrack and the track Thugz Mansion?

Illmatic 09-24-2005 07:30 PM

I've tried to ignore all of Pac's posthumous material...I don't think it's right that the rap industry keeps digging up his corpse to make it dance for money.

gaslight 09-24-2005 09:30 PM

Also, has anyone heard TZU?

Deconstruction 09-24-2005 10:02 PM
Most of his posthumous singles have been pretty awful in comparison to what he released while he was alive. Which would lead me to believe there's no chance he could ever be alive, as no living person could enjoy such a memory-raping.
Do you have any of his albums you are willing to trade?

Jaded 09-25-2005 05:51 PM

Just got Illmatic, and I'm pretty impressed.

Jaded 09-25-2005 06:03 PM

ZEROthirtythree 09-25-2005 09:25 PM
the track Thugz Mansion?
