I loved their new album! IMO there were no bad songs on it and there are some really good ones. My list would be

Probably my favourite album of 2005 so far.

That's pretty much how my list would be. Except I'd change sad statue with question!.

sad statue is an immense song, love every minute of it

I enjoy around 1/3 of BYOB. I like the instruments but the song is quite annoying.

radio/video is my favorite song so far. i like how it changes styles from a polka-like sound to a reagge(sp?) and how its speeds up and changes volume and everything. its great.

Cherry is a good song so isn't speak english or die, along with marmalade and marijuana in your brain, those are some of there good music...

Yea, intro is amazing imo. Sounds beautiful. It changes so much it's like 20 songs in one. Funny lyrics though.

No idea, yet I know it's one of the best songs on the album.

Recently I've been listening to Question! quite alot. It's becoming addicting. like the cocaine that makes you feel like you're in this song. lol. What a song title.

I love Sad Statue...specially the chorus. I think its one of the best songs ive heard from the album.

Yea the melody is very nice. That's the first song I liked when I heard the whole album. Now more are starting to sound nice.

I like the earlier albums a little, I think BYOB is an o..k Song, the way it changes is a little rough though.. Could be neatened up..

I got Mesmerize on the 14th, because I pre-ordered it. I was waiting for this album eversince Steal this Album. And I was blown away on how much they changed compared to their Selt Titled. My favorite songs on it so far are Revenga,Violent Pornography, Lost In Hollywood, Radio/Video, and Sad Statue (pretty much all of them, i like all fo their stuff). Overall it's my second favorite album, the first was the best
anywyas jsut felt like leaving a mark on a thread with my favorite band's name on it

KROQ played the album on the radio tonite in its entirety, I was driving in my car liking it! some cool sounding riffs, and catchy too

Question! is a Great song... one of my album favorites.

BYOB was awesome when I heard it and until I heard the rest of the album. Now it's just an average song compared to rest of songs on mesmerize imo. Can't wait for hypnotize.

Dont worry man. Those people know nothing about music. This album is great, and it will probably be best album of 2005. Considering hypnotize isn't better but it might well be better since Soad have evolved lyrically and musically.

I listened to it the other day. I thought it was alright. There were a few good songs IMO (sorry didn't have a track list) but there were also some fairly average ones aswell. I thought that Darons vocals were much better than in previous System of a Down albums, I was also impressed witht he drumming :thumb: .

(Frances the Mute = Best album of the year so far for me)

I wasn't expecting for mesmerize to be this good. I thought it was going to be an OKish album, but yea, once you get into it, it's way above average album. Daron's guitaring has grown alot imo. Like in radio/video, he changes many styles and song doesn't sound all out of shape and such. I thought John's drumming was fine before, but I believe his drumming is more complex now since he uses double bass now which is always good. :thumb:

I heard on some site that Danny and Lisa were the hosts of this radio show that said that they would never play Soad (back when they were not huge, i think). kind of a revenge song i guess, look whos laughing now :lol:

Hell yea been waiting for mezmerize for a long time. Every song is great! Too hard to pick a fav. right now. I only hope the next one to come out has more songs on it....
Had the chance to see SOAD a few weeks back when they came to town and did a small venue show. Barely got tickets and was a great F-ing show! I doubt they will ever play a venue that small in my town again
