Check out my band.. Adora --- http://www.purevolume.com/adorama

Trust.... Will... Kill.. Me

Sorry if anyone gets mad that I posted it but a lot of people classify us as "screamo" so I thought I'd share.

Happymeal 10-04-2004 07:30 PM

I'm really liking Bleeding Kansas right now.
Haha, who are you in the band? I saw you guys at Jericho's a little while back with Trauma.
It's a different Adora.

BuddyBigsby 10-04-2004 07:48 PM

booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

shane italian 10-04-2004 07:50 PM

hollistersk808 10-04-2004 07:50 PM

shane italian 10-04-2004 07:52 PM

Something Corporate are corporate pop rock.

topic to topic 10-04-2004 08:00 PM

yeah unfortunately there's another adora out there.. but to answer your question, i'm the singer.

shane italian 10-04-2004 08:08 PM
yeah unfortunately there's another adora out there.. but to answer your question, i'm the singer.
I' listening to it right now. I dig these intro riffs a lot. Lead vocals sound pretty good for the style, but I don't dig the clean vocals. I like the harmonies a lot though. Good stuff besides the back up vox.

Who in the band is Shane? He must be a big pimp.

topic to topic 10-04-2004 08:15 PM

Hahah yeah he is.. he's one of the guitarists... those vocals aren't me.. I just recently rejoined the band.. If you want to hear me sing I just finished recording a cover of a saosin song... http://207.36.181.131/breakcustom.mp3
... pretty ****ty since I recorded it on my computer.. but it'll give you an idea.. Our bassist Casey still does all the screams for Adora.
I used to play guitar for Adora then they replaced me with Shane.. Now I am a frontman.

topic to topic 10-04-2004 08:21 PM

Thanks man, I'm glad you like it.. It really didn't come out bad considering I sang into a $5 labtec microphone on my computer... haha..

BuddyBigsby 10-04-2004 08:50 PM

Speaking of which, my cheap Socom mic is getting a lot of hiss now for some reason, so Acapellica is delayed even further. :upset:

cbmartinez 10-08-2004 02:08 PM

This Adultery is where it's at.

Happymeal 10-08-2004 04:41 PM

It's $24.99 Canadian:upset: Argh, maybe I'll just dl it..

cbmartinez 10-08-2004 05:49 PM

Three screamo bands, The Assistant, This Ship Will Sink, and Takaru have released a split EP.

Those bands are really good. I wanna' see if I can pick that up somehow.

Happymeal 10-10-2004 07:34 AM

I have to go to downtown Toronto to buy some emo/screamo cd's. It's a bit far..

The Secret - Fire Isn't Always Meant To Burn's end part is sooo emo.

First Bleeding Kansas and now The Secret... I rule.

This Ship Will Sink are great. I heard they just split up though, which is a bitch.

I just got the Assistant LP in the mail (pink vinyl!!).
Traded it for the Ivich 10".

The Takaru split Lp with A Light In The Attic is great, although I prefer the A Light In The Attic side.. Try and get your hands on it!

Van Johnson is mine.

Buddy, I heard you're a fan of This Day Forward. Well, one of the members, Vadim, is now in this amazing post-hardcore/indie local band that plays shows around here. They're called Marigold.

www.purevolume.com/marigold

I really urge people to listen to them. I'm a bit confused about This Day Forward though. Were they signed? If so, to what label?

Happymeal 10-11-2004 09:14 AM

I've heard of Marigold a few months back. The song's awesome. Shame there's only one song on their page..

That reminds me, gots to get more doods into Sadaharu and Rival Schools.

cbmartinez 10-11-2004 09:30 AM

Jon sent me some Rival Schools I believe.

Happymeal 10-11-2004 09:45 AM

It's not that they're not recognized, they're just a bit underappreciated, that's all.

I'm looking up some Lickgoldensky songs right now and see if tornpicture's telling the truth. Oh well, almost all the Level-Plane bands are awesome anyway.

Already heard, good stuff. They're no This Day Forward *semen*, but they're good. They were on Eulogy for the first couple albums and then I believe they released their last one through Equal Vision.

Happymeal: Lickgoldensky really aren't very good at all.

cbmartinez 10-11-2004 12:49 PM

Awesome. I need to hear some This Day Forward. I like lickgoldensky though.

tornpictures 10-11-2004 01:19 PM

Lickgoldensky rule. I think they broke up too.

Alexander T. is a ****ing madman!!

Their first album is by far their best.

Happymeal 10-11-2004 02:02 PM

Hey! Haven't seen you in a long time. Hmm, I'll check them out just the same. Air Conditioning's description turns me on. "telephone wires for strings"? Sounds cool.

I haven't listened to much Fordirelifesake's stuff yet, but I know I should've bought their cd when I was in downtown, and Old Man Gloom's yesterday. My instincts failed me.:(

Yeah, they did break up. Sucks, because I was curious about their performance I was too see in a couple months. Is The Beautiful Sounds of... their first album? Because if so I beg to differ...
True that.

I've never heard This Day Forward though. Not like I'm going to anyway because my computer no longer has a functional hard drive yay! Thankfully the new fordirelifesake will be in my box tomorrow. Mmmmm.
I doubt you would like This Day Forward. Just overly heavy CHUG-RIFFFF band.
