Thunder Fingers 03-10-2007 03:15 AM

in 2 to 4 months i think someone can put their unlined fretless 79 Ibanez Musician on Ebay :p

You have not played a J.Torres stamped Fender then..

Thunder Fingers 03-10-2007 03:30 AM

mornin Jim..

Im not sure if its healthy for me to be at work alone on saturdays, it usualy end up with me drooling and gasing all over Ebay and talkbass..

AlmightyPancake 03-10-2007 03:57 AM

Anyone own a ps3?

Thunder Fingers 03-10-2007 04:01 AM

Nop.

Do you?

I think im getting hungry..

Thunder Fingers 03-10-2007 04:23 AM

hmmm..

got me thinking, looking at various jazz basses (if i was home i would have been PRACTICING..) made by different makers. the thing about the 70's fenders is the perfect match between headstock size, the neck, the body and perloid inlays.. me for instance, i would have loved the MM sig bass if it hadnt been for that very ugly pre amp layout...

I looked at the sandbergs, but the headstock looked like they did on the 70's stratocasters, to big and bulky to fit the rest of the bass, and im not sure if they use the 70's jazz pickup spacing.
I looked at the Hot wire basses, but their logo make em look cheap, and i for one aint intrested in paying alot of money for a bass that i think look cheap.
I Could probaly do a Shuker jazz Bass with the JJ burnel headstock, thoose looks nice.
But mostly i love the 70's fender head stock wich says "HI! i play a Fender Precision/Jazz bass, and im bloody gonna show you that!" but then again, when Fender put the serial number on the headstock i think it looks kinda weird (also that gold around the logo).. so it will have to be a pre 75/76 in that case. i always have Fender japan, but they dont use the 70's spacing...

Does anyone know how to change my adobe audition files to mp3 so i can put in on soundclick?

Radiobass81 03-10-2007 08:42 AM

Just google "mp3 audio converter". Download a program. That's what I did back when I actually recorded and needed to change formats.

I'm really not it the mood to download something...alright I'm just going to have to use Wave Studio, which is horrible.

Radiobass81 03-10-2007 08:48 AM

You're not in the mood to download something? That's either a horribly lazy or horribly depressing state.

Or just not wanting to pay money.

Radiobass81 03-10-2007 09:02 AM

Who said anything about paying money? I got mine for free. You think I would pay :p?

No the more I download, the more I pay the internet company but I think I have unlimated now.

Thonk 03-10-2007 10:01 AM

I know of a site that can convert the file for you, you just have to download the file after it's converted..

Thonk 03-10-2007 10:03 AM

Hmmm...that won't cut it, all my audition files can only save as .aup

And I just finished writing a song and I'm hoping I can enter the matchday league even though i'm a day late.

Thonk 03-10-2007 10:18 AM

You can't export as a .wav or something?

Trevo 03-10-2007 10:20 AM

I don't know, but I'll just use Wave Studio and just won't be able to add some little effects. Do you think sheephead will let me in a day late though?

Trevo 03-10-2007 10:30 AM

Hey Hobbes, how have you been lately?

Thonk 03-10-2007 10:33 AM

Go ahead and try and explain your predicament to him.

He's a nice guy, so he might.
Hey Hobbes, how have you been lately?
Pretty good.

Just got back from the air rifle range, trying to fugure out what pellets work best in my gun; felt like I was fighting a loosing battle with my shooting today.

Anyhow, bass wise I have been messing around with the Infinity trying to find what works and trying to get as comfortable with it, being a 5er, as I am with my corvette 4 string (chalk and cheese in terms of my confidence on the 4 vs. the 5er)

I need to seriously do some recording again, I bought all the bloody gear and now it is just collecting dust.
